That day and on one previous occasion, when I was using the self-service scanner, a certain store clerk first asked if I needed help (I know what I am doing) and then shoved her hand between myself and the scanner monitor. I said sharply "Leave me alone!" but she persisted. The result was that I ended up with two $7.16 charges to my credit card. What was supposed to be a relaxing experience was nerve-jangling.
