The exterior looks amazing, and having visited the Bonefish Grill in Syosset (which is consistent and upscale), I had high hopes. But after three takeout attempts, I’m calling the game. Here is the play-by-play: Strike One (The Warm-up): Our first order was right on point. The food was delicious, the order was accurate, and the timing was perfect. It gave us false hope. Strike Two (The Fumble): The second time was a nosedive. The wait was horrendous, the flavors were inconsistent, and there were mistakes in the order that the staff made no effort to fix or replace. Strike Three (The Out): The third and final visit was the nail in the coffin. It was a repeat of the second visit but worse. They forgot parts of our order, the staff seemed completely apathetic, and the food was lackluster at best. In a town like Rockville Centre, where you can throw a rock in any direction and hit a fantastic restaurant, you cannot afford to be this lazy. The RVC dining scene is competitive, and Bonefish needs to step up its game to survive here. Until they do, I won’t be back.
