I went through drive thru during my lunch break and ordered a triple cheeseburger, fries. Now the serve was fine normal service. I go to eat my food the fries are fresh and hot but the burger is cold. I’m like no maybe the wrapper is cold and the burger is fine. Nope is was cold through and through like it was sitting out waiting to be picked up. I’m disappointed because I haven’t had McDonalds in awhile and wanted to treat myself

I placed a mobile order through the McDonald’s app, but when I arrived, the staff could not locate my order. After waiting, I was told the order had been given to someone else. Instead of offering a refund or replacement, the manager told me to sit in the parking lot and attempt to cancel it through the app, even though he already knew it wouldn’t work. I spent more than 40 minutes trying to fix the issue in 27-degree weather while the app repeatedly crashed when I attempted to report the problem. FYI don’t use the mobile app to contact a representative just go to the website.
I tried calling the general manager phone number that was listed and it was the number for the store location. That’s when I found out it was the same manager who told me to dispute the order on the app. I was told I could come back for a refund, but the manager who initially gave incorrect instructions changed his explanation multiple times about what happened to my order. The first cashier was open about the situation and said she gave my order away. The manager knew once they started making the order there was no way I could cancel. After making the phone call to the location the same manager apologized for giving my order away without verifying the four digit code. I asked what the process of getting a refund or remaking my order. The manager said he knew I wouldn’t be able to cancel my order on the app and that I was “fishy” and he said it was my fault for the issue. After reading through the reviews I see that I’m not the only one who was told it was the customers fault.
Mistakes happen, but customers should not be blamed for them or left without guidance. Better training and support for mobile order errors would make a significant difference for customer safety and satisfaction.
