  In LIC for work and tried this place for dinner yesterday. It's so good I went back again today for lunch! The pizza is _really_ really good, like maybe in the top five of pizzas I've had in my life. They also have these tasty little dough cauldrons filled with pepperoni and cheese that I don't know the name for (see pic). When he saw I was back a second time the owner, Nicolas Portugal, walked over and introduced himself to me. Very friendly guy who clearly enjoys his work. I'd love to see these guys grow into a nicer / bigger location. No clue why it's called Il Miglio (Italian for "mile").

  I’ve been ordering from here for months since I work nearby and always get the same lunch special—penne alla vodka with grilled chicken and a soda for $14.95. It’s always been consistent, and the usual staff member is friendly and attentive. Today, my order was taken incorrectly by a younger employee and I received just the pasta with no chicken. When I called, they sent the missing chicken—but then charged me an extra $9.95 for it. That makes no sense, especially since the chicken is included in the lunch special and the mistake was on their end. When I tried to explain, the employee had a very dismissive “oh well” attitude and said the chicken was now considered a side order. Really disappointing experience. Mistakes happen, but charging a customer to fix your own error and handling it this way is unacceptable. Unfortunately, they’ve lost a regular customer.

  To celebrate the last game of our volleyball season we decided to treat the girls to a pizza party. From the moment I walked into Il Miglio the staff was attentive and kind. I placed a large order of pies, garlic knots and soda to arrive to our school at 5pm and they were precise with the time. The staff were generous and made sure to pack everything in nicely. They included plates, cups, napkins and seasonings. Though our girls lost the game they were happy to celebrate a great season together with pizza! Thank you for being amazing we greatly appreciate it!

  Place is basically a holy grail of pizza. I walked in and was just amazed by the beauty of these pizzas. I knew I couldn't eat all of them so I tried the Sicilian the BBQ chicken and the Napolitano! All three were superb but the Napolitano was outstanding the thin crust and flavor was primo. Staff was working very hard it seemed to keep up. Excellence overall you won't be disappointed here. The garlic knots were also very good.

  My girlfriend and I had the pleasure to eat here tonight. We ordered a couple of slices, rice balls, and chicken francese. It was delicious. The chicken was tender and juicy. Not overcooked at all. The pizza was exactly what you hope for from a neighborhood pizza place. The rice balls were piping hot and a good size. The staff were very nice. The owner Nick came out to talk to us and was so friendly. He listened to us and was playful. Just an overall really good guy. Check this place out. Order from them directly so that you can save yourself those uber and Grubhub fees. Def would recommend and I’ll be a recurring customer.
