  This location has the best prices and selection of fresh flowers in the area. I have previously purchased flowers here for intimate gatherings and recently flowers for a friend going through bereavement. In my last visit, Shane was the associate who helped me by arranging bouquet of flowers. The arrangement looked like an arrangement from a floral boutique. I am thankful and appreciate to Shane and Stop and Shop.

  Stop & Shop on South Road has the potential to be a great grocery store, but unfortunately my recent visit left me disappointed, which is why I’m giving it 2 stars. The biggest issue I noticed right away was the cleanliness. The floors throughout the store were noticeably dirty — not just a little dusty, but visibly unclean in several aisles, especially around the produce and dairy sections. Grocery stores should feel fresh and well kept, and this location definitely needs more attention in that area. The store layout itself is good, and they have a solid selection of products, but it’s hard to enjoy shopping when the floors and certain areas look like they haven’t been properly cleaned in a while. Even the entrance area didn’t feel as inviting as it should. Cleanliness is one of the first things customers notice, and it sets the tone for the whole experience. On the positive side, the staff was friendly and the checkout process was smooth. The employees I interacted with were polite and helpful. That’s the main reason this isn’t a 1-star review — the people working here are doing their part. However, the store needs a stronger focus on upkeep and cleanliness to match the standards other supermarkets in the area maintain. A cleaner environment would make a huge difference and bring this location closer to the 4- or 5-star level it could easily reach.

  Terrible experience I had here, I have been here multiple times and the staff has always been friendly. Today as a I was checking out and putting my stuff on the lane the employee (white guy with blonde hair could not get his name) was in lane 14 with his light on to take customers. Told me "yeah you can go to lane 15". I get my stuff and go to lane 15 thinking he probably is closing his lane. Come to find out he continued to take more customers. Now I do not know if it was because of my skin complexion or because I am Hispanic because on lane 15 was a very sweet Hispanic lady. This is unacceptable, I have been living in the U.S.A all my life and know perfect English. Never have I had an experience like this. Very offended too because he continued to take customers just didnt want to take me.

  The store itself is nice and usually always good. At self checkout today the card reader wasn't working. We stood at the register for a good 15 minutes waiting for someone to come help. There was an employee who refused to help in any way while she was busy harassing the other customers about their orders before they even had a chance to complete them. I finally went to search for help and when I told them about the rude employee, I was told "yeah I know. That's dawn." Dawn's attitude shouldn't just be a known issue customers have to deal with. Dawn should control her comments and actions.
