This is a tiny but homely and cosy spot. It has a beef stew that keeps me coming back over and over. The meat melts, the vegetables are delicious and the gravy is devine. I have no photo because I finished every scrap before I remembered. It’s just that good.

Christine wanted Vietnamese, so we found ourselves at V-Nam Cafe, a small spot that feels like it leans more toward takeout but does have a sit-down area if you want to eat in.
We started with the calamari and then both went with the beef pho, which is exactly what you want on a day when you need something filling and warm. The portions were generous enough that neither of us could finish our bowls, which says something. Good food has a way of doing that.
The service was genuinely warm. Our server kept the water coming without being asked and was attentive the whole time without being intrusive. An older gentleman working there was equally welcoming. Small spots like this live and die by that kind of energy, and V-Nam Cafe gets it right.
As for the price, you are looking at around $15 per pho and about $10 for the calamari, so two people can walk out of there well fed for around $50 with tip. They were having some trouble with their card machine the day we visited, so I handled the tip in cash, but the card payment went through fine.
If you are in the area and want a solid, unpretentious bowl of pho at a fair price, V-Nam Cafe is worth the stop.
5 stars food and service. Everything I’ve ever had there was really good, and I always come back and will continue to go. But I wish the place had more caring in terms of cleanliness, it’s bad. A lot of dust in the vents above the tables and other areas around needs cleaning. Hoping this will help.
Never dissapointes....I love this joint .
I have been nourished back to life by their pho many many times!
Crazy about they seitan meat....delicious
I’ve been coming here for over nine years, and I truly love this place, the food keeps me coming back every time. That said, the restaurant really needs a deep cleaning.
Every visit, I catch myself looking at the ceilings, walls, and floors hoping to see some improvement, but unfortunately it never seems to change. It makes the experience feel uncomfortable, which is disappointing considering how much I enjoy the food.
A few other details could also be improved: the peanut sauce for the summer rolls isn’t great (I wish they used a more traditional, richer peanut sauce), and the lemons are almost always dry and hard.
I genuinely say this as a loyal customer—I just wish they would take one evening after closing to thoroughly clean everything, including fixtures like the chandelier. It would make a huge difference and elevate the entire experience. Very dirty and dusty.
