  Excellent service (Jesús was our chef/server)! The hand rolls were delicious and the intimate dining experience/interaction with the chef is what really drives the value for this location. I highly recommend it.

  I enjoyed the food. The staffs were really nice and have good customer service. Love the atmosphere of the restaurant too. Pretty chill place to hang out with friends.

  My fave hand roll spot off 3rd. Mellow modern vibe, very friendly warm staff, and delicious food. I love their spicy hand roll combo. So much flavor, crisp nori, amble portions of filling. Love coming by here when craving hand rolls.

  Me and my family had the hungry menu. Kids had classic and my husband and I had a mix of classic and spicy. Everything was absolutely delicious. The miso soup was also great. We also enjoyed the crunchy cucumber hand roll and the avocado roll. Our chef Francisco was lovely. We highly recommend Temakase ❤️

  HORRIBLE TAKEOUT OPTION! I have ordered takeout sushi twice from Temakase NYC location and both times was extremely disappointed. The first time I placed an order for pickup and had requested alternates for rolls in one of their preselected sushi boxes which is an option they give you. However, they did do the correct replacements and also had a roll that I had not wanted and asked to change, completely getting half my order wrong even though I had been clear about what I wanted. The second time was a delivery order from a different NYC location that took half an hour longer than the original hour long delivery estimate. Why did it take them an hour and half to prepare my simple order of a NOM box? On top of that, both times when I tried to contact them about these issues, the phones for two different NYC locations were not hooked up and not working, despite me placing the second order a month later. So both times I had to email someone about the issue. There are so many quality sushi places at the same price point (sushi hatsune, sanyuu west, Joji, kazunori, even sugar fish for a little more $) that I have had much better experience and honestly quality at. 0/10 would not recommend wasting your time and money
