The food was excellent. We had the griyo, soup joumou, shrimp, and legume with rice and pease. The drinks were really good and def did not taste watered down. This is a must try! The decor is also nice. There is a decent amount of seating plus a DJ in the evenings.

NYC born and raised. I lived in downtown Brooklyn area for over 16yrs I’ve tried and experienced many diverse cultures food. I know quality over quantity and when food is just overpriced. The ambiance of this place was cool. We were the first ones there. The owner was cool as well. When we first got there, the waitress told us to scan the menu barcode to order, 25 minutes later she came to take our order and then said , “ oh that’s a to go menu, so if you order from that, you can’t dine in. Mind you, we had three children with us.” That was the first red flag. Moving forward, my friend then went on to order some of things on the mobile menu, moving forward, the prices, are not reasonable for the portion. The waitress never mentioned the mobile menu prices were significantly different. We was never given a restaurant menu which we did ask for. The owner was like, oh you can order with me. So the prices we saw on the mobile menu we were not charged. So it’s like they made up there prices . I paid 54.00 for a snapper fish with rice and beans, which was good, not over the top , like the price.’x but good. The portions were cute. My 11yr old son had the jerk wings and same rice was almost 40 bucks, my son thought they were good … not to mention the gratuity 21.00 plus taxes. I had a mango margarita , 18 bucks…. The liquor over saturated the mango flavor…. Uh uh and 2 orange juices for 10 bucks Totaling to 142.00 after fixing a error. Let’s just say. Not worth it. 2 items in a meal for 50 bucks? With no salad ? Nope….The space could’ve been a little more roomy. The tables are too close to other tables.

I went to this restaurant on the 15th of February and they failed to disclose that there was a private event and sat us at the bar instead of just turning away our service. The bar was way too small for eating and the private event was loud and rambunctious. People were surrounding us trying to order drinks at the bar and a woman spilled her drink on me! The food was the only redeeming quality but that doesn’t matter because I got food poisoning the day after. I ordered the djon djon rice with fried fish. Avoid this place at all costs!
