  It was just ok. I was under the impression that it was going to be a must try, will love place from the way my gf had seen people talk about it and it was a place she wanted to go while we were in NY. Nice, clean shop but not a lot of space to operate. Staff were nice also. I got the medium carrot cake pudding and it was good but I think I expected more. It's light and airy but the flavor I was expecting wasn't there. There were some carrot cake pieces at the top but once you got passed those it was all pudding(?) at the bottom. I couldn't tell if I was eating whipped cream or actual pudding because it was so lightly flavored..it says that it's vanilla pudding but you could've told me it was whipped cream and if believe you. My gf had the medium banana pudding and she couldn't taste the flavor of banana at all. Just an ok experience at best but try for yourself.

  If happiness had a smell, it would probably be the inside of Magnolia Bakery 🧁✨. Walking in feels like stepping into a dessert lover’s dream sweet aromas, pastel vibes, and displays that basically whisper “just one more treat…” (spoiler: it’s never just one 😅). Let’s start with the star of the show: the famous banana pudding 🍌💛. Creamy, dreamy, and dangerously addictive, it’s the kind of dessert that makes you question all your life choices… like why you didn’t order a bigger size 🤭. The cupcakes are also top-tier—light, fluffy, and topped with frosting that’s almost too pretty to eat (almost 👀). The vibe is cheerful and a little nostalgic, like a cozy bakery straight out of a movie 🎬. It’s the perfect spot to catch up with friends, go on a cute date, or simply treat yourself because… why not? 💁‍♀️🍰 Service is quick and friendly, even when it’s busy which it usually is, because let’s be real, nobody can resist this place 🙌. Prices are a bit on the indulgent side 💸, but honestly, for desserts this good, it feels worth it. You’re not just buying cake, you’re buying a tiny moment of joy. Overall, Magnolia Bakery is sugar, spice, and everything nice 💕. Just be warned: you might come for one cupcake and leave with a whole box… no judgment here

  I truly couldn't believe how good their banana pudding is. I had never had anything like it before, I didn't even know pudding could be that good. In my 5 day stay in New York, Magnolia's banana pudding was the only thing that was so good I had to go back a second time to try it again. The hype is worth it, try the banana pudding.

  They are famous for their banana pudding, and I couldn’t agree more. It’s airy, light, and well balanced. Unfortunately, everything else I tried didn’t follow the same standard. The carrot cake pudding (Easter edition) had more cream than cake and was too sweet. The rainbow slice cake and the red velvet were both a bit dry, and the blueberry cheesecake was fluffy, creamy, and well balanced, but the compote was way too sweet, so I had to put it aside, otherwise I wouldn’t have been able to finish it. The ordering system is a bit chaotic, as you have to place your order before seeing the counter. That means if you don’t know their products, you need to join the queue to check the options and then queue again to place your order and pay. As the place is relatively small and always packed, there’s no space for the queue other than in front of the counter. I highly recommend visiting for the banana pudding, and I will definitely be back for it, but I’m not sure if I would get anything else 🤷🏼‍♀️

  Die Magnolia Bakery hat sich während unseres New York Trips sehr schnell zu einem unserer absoluten Lieblings-Spots entwickelt! Wir waren so begeistert, dass wir uns hier gleich mehrmals mit dem weltberühmten Banana Pudding versorgt haben. Er ist einfach unglaublich cremig, perfekt abgestimmt und macht geradezu süchtig – ein echtes Highlight, das man unbedingt probiert haben muss. Wer eine Schwäche für hervorragende Süßspeisen hat, kommt an dieser Bäckerei in NYC einfach nicht vorbei. Wir freuen uns schon jetzt auf den nächsten Besuch!
