I am baffled by how this place has good reviews. NY dining scam. This is below mediocre. All of our dishes were bland, not cooked well, and cost twice as much as it should. We got the Greek salad with steak — the salad was overdressed and the only real topping was a big block of uncut feta cheese, and the steak was overcooked and stringy and arrived looking like a block of dog food. The veggie curry bowl ($26) was vegan and small, and the dressing tasted like bad sweet and sour sauce and it was drenched in it. This place is like what people with zero taste think “Mediterranean” look like and have no idea how to actually cook. Avoid this place at all costs. We can all do much better.

I think this is the best breakfast I’ve ever had in NYC — get the poached eggs with toasted tomato and halloumi. In love!

I went to the location in union square and had the most amazing experience. My server Chandler was so personable and convinced me to get the chicken schnitzel. It was so yummy! The manager Sam was phenomenal. She checked in on our table so many times. She constantly was bringing bread and sauces. I would 100% go back. The staff was killing it.

I have been debating whether to write this review or not because I don't want to damage a business, but after going to other establishments in Manhattan as a tourist, not a local, and realizing how diverse and difficult it is to find places to eat that are worth the expense, I decided I would offer this advice if you, like me, think this place looks like a good bet based on Google: First, the food tastes good and the servers were very friendly and attentive. The food gets 4 stars and the employees get 5 stars. My complaint with this place is that I feel gouged. When I sat down to order, I was told "no" to literally everything I asked for: No, they don't have decaf coffee but I can get an herbal tea (which I got, finding out, too late, that the tea is way more expensive than the coffee). No, they can't "substitute" scrambled eggs for the poached ones the dish is served with (I get the "no substitutions" policyusually, but eggs are made to order and scrambled in a less complicated thing to ask for; I wasn't even offered an upcharge to have my eggs made in a non-runny way). No, there is no wifi for guests (a lot of places have no free wi-fi in NY, which I get when places don't have the space to have people loiter and work remotely, but this was a sprawling diner with very few customers around 11 am). When I finally got the eggs I didn't prefer (I wanted the halloumi, roasted tomatoes, and sour dough on the dish more than the eggs, which is why I settled), a small serving was delivered on a big diner plate. The empty space on that plate made me feel like I was a little mislead about what I thought I was ordering for the price I paid. At first, I thought this was just what you get from a place in this area. Later, I realized you can get more for the same price or less at similar establishments. You're day won't be ruined if you eat here for breakfast or lunch, but you might leave feeling a little ripped off.

Popped in here for a weekday lunch. I made a reservation but it wasn't needed. Service was very friendly but the tables felt a little cramped. My chicken kebab dish was very tasty but not very large for the price ($24) and my kiddo was still hungry after the avocado toast, which was tasty but only one piece of toast with a thin layer of avocado and some tomato jam. Maybe because he opted for the salad rather than the fries and didn't like the mainly arugula salad. My other kiddo ordered the kids butter pasta and found it swimming in so much butter he did not like it. They didn't have decaf coffee but did have non caffeine tea options. They did have colouring sheets and crayons for the kids, which was nice.
