The service was kind and attentive, and the food was really good, very close to what you can find in Mexico, especially with touches like the agua de jamaica and the Mexican beer Pacifico. I was just passing through New York, but if I come back, I’ll definitely stop by this amazing place again, both for the atmosphere and the quality of the food.

As regulars at Tacombi (all Manhattan locations) we can attest that sometimes the food can be a hit or miss (sometimes it is incredibly delicious and sometimes food is cold, they have served us the fattest and chewiest birria - not nice -) but lately it seems like they have improved a bit and it’s more consistent. Drinks always good, our favorites are the Horchata and Watermelon aguas frescas in addition to Birria Tacos, avocado tostada, pastor taco is always a solid option and we also love the Sinaloa taco but this one is more variable that could be delicious or not. Overall we like this Tacombi UES location but what we like the most is the staff and Uziel particularly!

We’ve never had a disappointing experience here, the food is always incredible (corn esquites, crispy fish taco and watermelon juice is a must - they’re all incredible), and the staff is so lovely and kind (shout out our favs Erika & Daniel!!!). I’m kind of shocked at the 1 star reviews because that is not representative of this location at all. The vibe is also really cool. It’s in like, an old car shop and there is a giant skylight on the roof. I’m so glad we have this wonderful restaurant within walking distance!!
