I've been to a few of the Sushi by Bou locations, and the service and food quality has consistently been amazing. I brought my family yesterday for my mom's birthday, and the team here went above and beyond to make it a very special experience. Thank you so much to our chef and our hostess/bartender for such a wonderful time. We'll be back for sure

Intimate, delicious, and memorable. When we walked in we weren’t sure, but then when we sat down the food and service were remarkable. Watching the creation of each piece - like dripping bone marrow and smoking the unagi - pretty cool. Get the 17 courses, so worth it. Thank you guys for an amazing, and unforgettable evening. Perfect timing for before a show.

We had an omakase dinner in 2022 and we loved it so much that we decided to go back.
That was a mistake. We booked a table for a late dinner at 10:15pm (we did the same the first time).
When we arrived on time, the host told us that we were more than 5 minutes late and so they couldn't seat us. We told them we were exactly on time but they did not let us sit regardless because they wanted to close. There was only one table seated at the bar and they had finished eating.
After refusing to seat us, they canceled our reservation on opentable at 10:22pm after we already talked to them.
As you can see we arrived within 5 minutes of 10:15, but they just gave us a weak excuse in order to refuse to seat us.
As a suggestion to the restaurant: if you want to close early, don't let people book for that time slot.
Btw closing time is 11pm and the omakase meal is exactly 30 minutes.

This was the best sushi I have ever had. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. The staff accommodates food allergies including asking questions for items they are unsure about. It was a very small restaurant which made it all feel very personal. If you’re looking for an excellent sushi experience in NYC this is the place for you.

This place poped up on our instagram feed offering an omakase for $10 off. We decided to book it our on trip and it was available. We were a little skeptical since it was 13 items in 30min. We were all like, really. Well, it's such a fun location to visit in NY and it's down the stairs. You walk in and it's 1 room with 1 bar where it seats about 8 folks at a time.
Everything was delicious! I don't feel like our chef was as personable as the one on the other side but that's ok. Long as the food was good, that's all that matters. The Toro was my favorite since it melts in your mouth. Such a fun experience for yummy food!!
