The food was like a 7.5 out of ten. I had the seafood fritters, which didn’t really taste like seafood, more so of a dough taste.
I also had the classic stewed chicken. It was good, but my food wasn’t hot, so I’m assuming they hadn’t just made it. It was also ridiculously overpriced for 2 pieces of chicken and rice. It could’ve at least came with plantains or an additional side.
The service was also mediocre. Whenever I asked my server for something it seemed like I was bothering her.
Overall, it was nice to see a Haitian restaurant in Manhattan, but you could definitely get more for your money by going to a Haitian place in Queens or Brooklyn. I probably wouldn’t come again.

Went here for dinner with my Haitian boyfriend and it did not disappoint. The food was excellent, especially the red snapper.

Located in the LES is this perfect restaurant, with a welcoming staff and delicious food. A great place for date night or just a good place to meet up with friends. I came for the mushroom rice especially and it did not disappoint, the chef deserves a hug. My guest tried everything and loved it. They take reservations but walk ins are welcomed too. I'll definately be back Rebel..

My friend Ben and I stopped into Rebel by chance after having seen a show and needing dinner. I'm so glad we did, because this place is INCREDIBLE. Everything we ordered was artfully prepared to perfection— eating felt like an experience, above just a meal. I ordered the Rebel Goat, and it was SO unbelievably tender, with just enough crisp to the outside of the meat. I highly recommend!

The food is really good! Speaking as a Haitian woman who loves home cooking, I would say that this is close in comparison. My only complaint is that service seems to be a bit slow early on in the night
