I used to love this place and visited frequently, about 2-3 times a month, even after moving away. Unfortunately, my recent experiences were deeply disappointing. This time the shawarma, which was supposed to be lamb, was replaced with chicken due to unavailability of lamb without any further notice, I realised that later when eating in the park. The chicken was dry, tough, and clearly not fresh. The falafel was equally disappointing—soggy, lacking crispness, and far from the quality I’ve come to expect. There was no tahini, which further diminished the experience.
It feels like the restaurant is cutting corners on quality, possibly to save costs due to declining customers or revenue. Instead of obviously lowering standards, I wish they had considered raising prices to maintain the quality that made them stand out. This visit was so far removed from the shawarma and falafel I once loved that I will not come back. Fourth really bad experience in a row.
