By FAR my favorite place to go in Soho. The bartenders Tivadar, Aldolfo, and Pedro are the best around! The managers Christian and Mike are TOP TIER! I highly recommend the steak prego roll and espresso martini! If you can get Christian or Tivo to make your martini you know it’s gonna be good!

honestly mediocre and overpriced. i dined here recently with a group of 8 and everyone got different things. nobody’s was outstanding. it was fine, just not what you’d expect from this restaurant’s reputation. $17 for a simple jack and coke. water glasses not repoured. i really don’t understand the hype.

Has slid in popularity but I promise you this place has THE BEST KALE SALAD WITH SALMON in town, right up there with Jean-Georges’ version at Nougatine. Must admit I’ve not tried any other dishes here bc have been getting the kale with salmon for years (and I’m not even a salad person)

The food was incredible. The steak was amazing and the pasta was honestly to die for. The only thing was the service was a little slow, but overall it was definitely worth it to stop by for lunch!
(10/10 ambiance as well!)

Jack's Wife Freda is an iconic brunch spot in SoHo, especially busy on weekends. My friend and I finally had a chance to try it for the first time yesterday.
If you're a group of 3-4 people and have a booth, the experience may be better, but we were seated at a table for 2, squished between two other tables. The noise level was quite high and the person sitting right next to me was talking so loudly I could barely hear my friend.
As for the food, I ordered a Salmon Burger with french fries, which was quite tasty. My friend ordered Jack's Breakfast (including skirt steak, 2 eggs, roasted tomatoes, fingerling potatoes, pickled onions and sourdough toast), which was a lot smaller than we'd both expected, especially considering the price.
We didn't leave with the best impression, but perhaps if you're seated outside, at the end or in a booth, the experience would be better.
