Super recomendable!

A good restaurant to meet up with friends and family. The food is amazing and has a good selection of vegan, vegetarian and meat options. I highly recommend the vegetable curry bowl and the grilled eggplant baguette, some of the best curry bowl and sandwiches I've had. The ambience is very nice, it was filled to the brim with people so I recommend reserving a table if possible. The haloumi was garlicy and very tasty and combined with the grapes it made a great appetizer. Definitely recommend the place.

It may be the Asian in me but this place seriously lacks flavour. Burger was dry (despite asking for medium doneness), waffles were dense and cardboardy (with no maple syrup available, just rosewater), and our duck bacon sandwich was also really dry. Food here is clearly an afterthought - folks must come for the nice, warm and lovely atmosphere. Can’t think of any other reason.

The food was okay but not great, and the service wasn’t great either. They use the menu as a table mat, which sounds clever in theory but doesn’t work well in practice. For two people, one person ends up reading it upside down and we weren’t given another menu until we asked. We also didn’t receive any napkins until halfway through the meal, and only after flagging down the wait staff to ask for them. There’s no real waiting area, so guests waiting for tables kept brushing against diners, which was uncomfortable. The table itself was also far too small for two people. Overall, I don’t really get the hype. It wasn’t terrible, but not good enough for me to want to come back

spots purely for the vibes. Sitting outside is the real star here — it’s perfect for people watching, soaking in the energy of the neighborhood, and feeling like you’re right in the middle of everything SoHo has to offer. Almost every time I’m there, there are influencers outside snapping photos, styling outfits, and creating content, which honestly just adds to the fun, buzzy atmosphere. The food is good and reliable, but this is definitely a place I come to more for the experience than a mind-blowing meal. That said, everything I’ve tried has been tasty, well-presented, and easy to enjoy whether you’re grabbing brunch, lunch, or a casual bite. It’s the kind of menu that works perfectly for lingering over conversation while watching the city move around you. Service is usually friendly and efficient, and the whole place has that effortlessly cool, downtown café feel. If you’re looking for a spot to see and be seen, enjoy great outdoor seating, and absorb classic SoHo energy, Jack’s Wife Freda is a great choice.
