En vacances à New York, nous avons découvert la chaîne Chipotle Mexican Grill. J’ai posé quelques questions sur les plats: la serveuse a levé les yeux au ciel. Ensuite, alors que j’expliquais les choix à mon fils, une autre serveuse s’est mise à gesticuler et à crier « hello » en montrant les plats pour nous presser, alors qu’il n’y avait absolument personne derrière nous. Ce comportement expéditif et méprisant donnait l’impression ridicule que le personnel participait à une course contre la montre pour se débarrasser des clients au plus vite. La scène tenait plus de la farce que du service en restauration. Installés à table, nous avons assisté à la même attitude déplorable envers d’autres clients. Nous n’y remettrons évidemment jamais les pieds. Dommage, car la nourriture était bonne, mais le service est tout simplement inacceptable.
