For all the places to choose in NYC...i would say it's just okay. It was $20 for a burger that wasn't huge and did not come with any side. I had to order the fries in addition for $7 and it was in a basket, not the biggest either. The sweet potato fries were good though. The regular fries are shoe string skinny style.
My biggest complaint is the size of the tables...they tried to sit 6 adults with coats at a round table that was maybe 4 ft wide. The 2 person rectangle table was also so small. They packed us in downstairs so tight that it was not a good environment. I waited for the rest of my party to come and watched about 6 parties pause and ask for a different table. They tried to also put 6 adults at a hightop table that was not a rectangle...but three small round tables "connected". Absolutely not.
Anywho...it was a good burger but not sure it was worth the $20.

Why 2 stars? Made a reservation for 7:15pm. I got there around 6:45pm. Hostess claimed there’s a wait time and I will get a notification closer to my reserved time. Eventually got a text at 7:08pm (mind you the table was available the entire time).
Sat down. Was not greeted until 10 minutes afterwards. Ordered fries, chicken wings (bone in) and a BLT burger (don’t get it cause the bread falls apart). Our food came cold. Other tables got their food before ours. The water glasses were dirty so was the bathroom (2 out of 3 stalls were out of order). But why give it 2 and not 1? The wings were the only thing that was hot and that tasted good.

Pretty large bar/restaurant close to Rockefeller Center. There was a wait on the weekend, during lunchtime. The hostess said 30 minutes and that was just about right. Lots of fried food choices and fancy milkshakes, which we didn’t get. Prices are a little expensive (not surprisingly for the location), but not terrible. The one thing was the bathroom situation. Our table was right outside the ladies room, which was pretty well used. A line the majority of the time we ate. Didn’t use the ladies room but could see it could have used a cleaning. 👎🏼 Would recommend this location and would return again, maybe at a less busy time.

I really enjoyed Bill’s Bar & Burger. It has a strong old-school American vibe, but presented in a tasteful, well-done way. Even though the place is relatively affordable, it doesn’t feel cheap at all — it feels like a cool, solid spot that knows exactly what it’s doing.
There’s a lot of energy inside: music, TVs playing in the background, constant movement. The TVs slightly distract from the atmosphere, but not in a vulgar or fast-food kind of way. It still feels intentional and polished, unlike many casual burger joints. American culture is presented here in a nice, appealing way that actually adds to the experience.
The music is loud, but it fits the concept and creates a sense of motion. This isn’t a place where you come to sit for hours and have deep conversations — it’s more about stopping by, eating, and moving on. And that’s perfectly fine, because that’s exactly what it does well.
The food was great. The burgers were tasty, well made, and very satisfying. Simple, classic, and done right.
Overall, a very enjoyable spot with good food, a fun atmosphere, and a well-executed American-style concept.

I was really excited about this restaurant after seeing it pop up in multiple Google searches. I’ll start with the positives: the location near Radio City is excellent, and the place was very busy—which is usually a good sign. No one likes an empty restaurant.
Unfortunately, the experience went downhill from there. Our food was delivered incorrectly twice, and when it finally arrived, it wasn’t very good. I had the chicken sandwich, which had so much chicken that I had to remove some just to fit it in my mouth. Worse, the chicken itself was completely unseasoned. The Bill’s Burger was also underwhelming and forgettable. While the pricing was somewhat reasonable, if items are à la carte, it would be nice to at least include a pickle or a small portion of chips.
I do want to add that our server was great. He was not the one who delivered our food and only realized it was incorrect after someone else had brought it out. When I asked if there was a place to charge my phone, he graciously made sure it was plugged in for me—kudos to him.
My biggest issue, though, was cleanliness. The ladies’ room was downright dirty. There was toilet paper piled in the corner nearly three feet high, and when I returned later, two of the three stalls were out of toilet paper. In a restaurant of this size and volume, there should be a staff member dedicated to maintaining the restrooms . No one wants to use a nasty bathroom. We also waited for a table along the winding staircase, where dust and dirt on the ledges were very noticeable.
Overall, great location and energy, but the food quality and cleanliness really missed the mark.
