  Agh here’s the thing. This restaurant is classic Italian dining: simply prepared food, intimate dimly lit restaurant, and staff that wants you to take your time/not rush. With that being said, I feel like there were a couple of misses that will prevent me from going back. When we first sat down it took an abnormal amount of time for us to get menus which was immediately off putting. But again, I’m used to American dining where they are less worried about the experience and more about the transaction so maybe that’s on me. For appetizers, we ordered the fried calamari and Caesar salad which was fine but nothing special. I liked the texture of the calamari crust but the dipping sauce was oddly similar to that of a Big Mac. And the caesar was soooo simple I feel like I could’ve prepared it myself…and made something 10x better. For mains, we ordered the truffle ravioli and grilled branzino; both of which were also fine. The ravioli was not the traditional pasta I was imagining when we ordered the dish… so when it came to the table as square flat noodles with sauce drizzled on top of it (vs having a filling inside of it) I was confused. The branzino was cooked perfectly but as for the preparation, it tasted like they just drizzled olive oil on the fish, filled it with rosemary, and added a dash of salt and a squeeze of lemon. Now don’t get me wrong when you got the perfect bite that had all of those things on it, it was great… but if you didn’t you ended up eating a bland piece of fish. For dessert, the girls got tiramisu. Now I didn’t eat any of it so I have no review but it didn’t seem to wow them, though they did enjoy it!

  Stumbled in here one night without a reservation and they were able to fit us in so long as we left by 730 for a booked table. They provided and incredible 3-course service in only an hour and we were blown away by the service and food. A very authentic Italian experience. Cant wait to go again, next time with a reservation.

  Plainly said, there is not a better restaurant in Manhattan. Food and service are outstanding in a well appointed space. An abundance of choices, you will not go wrong. Great wine selection and scrumptious deserts.

  This is one of the top restaurants in the city hands down. My husband and I go at least once a month. Go, it's absolutely perfect!
