Great food, but the service really missed the mark. We waited about an hour for our meals, even though we were the first to order and the restaurant was empty. Several parties who arrived after us were served before us. When I asked about our order, the young man in charge said I hadn’t placed one until I showed my receipt—even though we had already received our appetizer. He seemed annoyed, apologized, and then our entrée still came out wrong (chicken instead of shrimp). I had to show the order again before it was corrected. Overall, the food was good, but the experience felt uncomfortable and unprofessional. Also, heat over the tables that are close to the door would be nice. Everytime the door is open the freezing wind hits you of you’re in the first few seats by the door.

I saw this place on Instagram and instantly added to my “”must try”” places… came here on a Sunday afternoon, parking was not hard since we found the last parking spot available right outside of Roc N Ramen. We were seated right away and the girl explained how is the process to order to us and offered drinks first… We shared some appetizers and had two entrees and everything was made to perfection!! Loved the combination of flavors and loved the size of each plate!!! Definitely a must try, specially for those who are acquainted with the Caribbean culture and love oxtail!! Such an interesting combination of flavors in their dishes, really loved it!!!

PRO: Spicy miso Chicken ramen and short rib ramen was good. CONS: It took 1 hour and 45 minutes for our orders to be done and must be ordered through their app. It’s very tight in there so while people are sitting down eating, you are standing directly on top of them as you wait to pick up your order. OVERALL: don’t care to return even though the soup was good due to the realllyyyy long wait time and crammed space.

Dinner and a Show with Exceptional Service I haven’t written a review in a while, but this restaurant unquestionably earned a perfect one and not sharing the experience feels selfish. Service: The bar offers a front-row seat to the kitchen, where a talented young chef confidently manages multiple orders at once. Both the waitstaff and kitchen team are highly attentive, constantly scanning the room to anticipate needs, answer questions quickly, and ensure a seamless dining experience. Menu: The menu is accessed via an easy-to-use QR code at the table, allowing for smooth navigation and effortless customization. Whether you’re looking to tailor a dish or ask questions, the staff are approachable, knowledgeable, and genuinely eager to help you. Food: I ordered the spicy oxtail ramen, and it was outstanding. The oxtail was perfectly trimmed, expertly cooked, and deeply flavorful, its richness fully intact and beautifully integrated into the ramen. The dish strikes an impressive balance: traditional noodles paired with a modern, refined spice profile. The result is bold, comforting, and simply unforgettable. The Show: Sitting at the bar adds another layer to the experience. Watching the chef command roaring two-foot flames across multiple woks, while smiling and clearly enjoying the craft, leaves no doubt that this food is prepared with both skill and passion. That energy is unmistakably reflected in every bite. Overall: This was an exceptional dining experience from start to finish. The space may be small, but the wait is short, the hospitality is warm, and the food is well worth the visit. I highly recommend experiencing it for yourself.

I had to calm down for a bit before writing this review and normally don’t even write food reviews but I figured I couldn’t just let this go. I will be straightforward and honest while also mentioning when dining here years ago I met the owner and the place was on point and the owners level of communication and customer service was amazing. That being said I’m not sure if at this point he sold the place or just gave up on this location but I’m left disgusted, disappointed, and borderline angry. From The moment me and my family sat we noticed a dirty table and no one walking the floor until later on to ensure cleanliness for new diners. After cleaning off the table myself, we found that apparently COVID never ended and we are ordering through a contactless QR code system which leaves pretty much no room for further explanation of anything. After ordering we began to notice a semi foul smell which to date remains undetermined but was reminiscent of someone cooking southern chitterlings if any of you are familiar with that type of thing. We eventually received our pork bao buns which only one of three were actually delicious, as the other two were either full of rubbery fat or hard over cooked pieces. We then received our bowls of ramen by the skinnier male worker who seems very nice and professional but contact with him was limited. The soup although hot arrived with many items that seemed either precooked or frozen which defeated the purpose of hot soup because once the soup was quickly cooled by said items, the egg and other portions were still iced cold within the broth. Some of the meat in the soup was similar to the bao buns and either way to fatty and strange textured or over cooked to the point of rubber. After our first few spoons of brother and chopsticks full of noodles we realized that our drinks never arrived. After bringing this up to one of the staff members he was apologetic and had them sent out by a seemingly lazy and unmotivated pregnant woman who seemed to select which tables she wanted to clean and still only brought out 2 out of 3 of our drinks and seemed confused when we told her she was missing one of them and never returned with it. This seems hard to mess up especially when you have forced us to order digitally which doesn’t seem like it can be misinterpreted as an order. After receiving the two drinks, one of them being a ginger beer for my young son from the “non-alcoholic” portion of the menu we realized that it had 5% alcohol in it. Upon bringing this to one of the staffers attention I was told that they ran out of the regular one. Although he seemed apologetic by this point apologies were useless. If you are going to charge top dollar for your product whether it’s food or beverage the least you can do is make sure the product is good and the service/ communication is good. Instead we were offered confusion, borderline crap food, a damn near cavelike dark lighting experience, useless service with dated unkept serving conditions. The soup flavor had a great deal of potential if that even means anything at this point and the music was fire. Other than that I’m hoping changes are made or this experience was produced by new staff members that will soon be fired because it’s not acceptable especially in the epicenter of new Rochelle and especially at those price points. Long story long, we left after paying with damn near untouched food and drinks and will not be returning.
