I specifically called in to inquire about a CoinStar machine because I was changing vehicles and collected all of the change from one and wanted to cash it out before getting into my new vehicle and obviously not wanting to bring it from one to another. Hence, why I called in the first place. Over the phone, whomever I spoke with in customer service seemed pleasant. However, the overall energy and vibration the was given while actually at the store was entirely different. Now, I arrived at 7:30 AM, shortly after the store had opened. I understand that it’s early and everyone’s just starting their day. However, we’re all grown-adults and these employees are literally at their jobs and are expected to act accordingly. Welcoming, decent (at best) and professional, regardless. The machine was present worked perfectly and I successfully did the conversion. However, I take the receipt to where customer service stated that it’s at and I am “Greeted,” (so to speak) by a prime example of Rockland County’s “Finest,” (woman) IYKYK. And I’m politely waiting behind a man that’s also currently waiting on her as she’s counting cash in front of customers and essentially ignoring in-person customers in front of her face. It appeared as the though man was waiting on her already and so she finally decided to acknowledge me with a “Looks at me, looks me up and down and asks if she could help me?” I’m in intuitive individual whose senses are both elevated and heightened and this blessing has been bestowed upon me since childhood and now I knew exactly who and what I was dealing with in the very moment and so I matched her energy immediately with a response of, “CoinsStar,” and held up my receipt to show her. She then proceeds to ask me, “How much?” Because “Customer Service isn’t in yet.” Mind you, as previously stated, she’s literally standing in customer service as she’s speaking to me… I proceed to tell her the amount and she sends me to the closest register where I was met with a lovely elderly Asian woman working the cash register. I genuinely felt worse for her being around such clearly bigots on a daily basis. She processed the transaction and sent me off with pleasantries and I did the same. However, I needed to pick up an item while I was there and figured I’d use the cash that I just received to simply pay for the item because why wouldn’t I? Turns out, they didn’t have it. Go figure. On my way out, I purposely walked past said woman to see if she’d give me a look and of course and as to be expected, she did (washed out highlights with the thin-dark undertone hair). Then there was her minion, visibly younger than her, but very much to TPT aesthetic as well. Who looked and me and whispered something in her ear as I walked by and I of course peeped it. Mind you, it was a test that they both failed, miserably. Which makes total sense based upon the obvious, but I digress. And so, reactive me would have, “Reacted,” on the spot, but calm, cool, collected and strategic me goes through the expected, unfortunate experience and then sits with, processes, writes a review and hopefully it gets back to corporate for their review, etc.
See ya’ never, “Ladies” ✌️
