Completely unorganized! Soda machine not working, no communication as to where to get drinks. Lots of staff, but very slow. Skip this place!

I ordered a spinach and artichoke soufflé this morning. When I opened it, it was spinach and bacon. I called and got the “manager”. She said well that’s because we don’t have the spinach and artichoke anymore. I asked why he didn’t tell me that when I ordered and she didn’t say anything. She did not conduct herself like a manager. Panera needs to train their management team better. I will not be back

I stopped in earlier after not visiting this Panera for quite some time, so I wasn’t familiar with the kiosk ordering and pickup process. It was not busy inside, but I think there were online orders and drive thru happening. When I asked the employee at the front how it worked, she did eventually answer my question but gave me a dismissive look that made it feel as though I should have already known the process. The expression continued long after she explained that she would get me a cup, and the interaction felt unnecessarily awkward. Later, when I went to the pickup area, I wasn’t sure if the bagged order I saw was mine, so I waited for confirmation. Employees saw me standing there but did not acknowledge me. When I finally spoke up, the response I received was abrupt, no eye contact, and something along the lines of “can you just give me a minute!” The tone made it clear that my question was an interruption. I ended up apologizing and explaining that I wasn’t sure of the process or whether the food was mine. To be fair, I did speak with a staff member afterward named Lindsey. She was polite and took the time to listen. I explained that from my perspective the staff preparing food seemed extremely stressed, which may explain why the communication came across the way it did. The front desk person was just plain rude. She shared that they are currently understaffed and said the behavior I described does not reflect their core values and that she would be addressing it with the team’s manager. I appreciated her listening and her approach. However, the overall experience felt uncomfortable and unwelcoming. I took the meal that I wanted to originally dine in with, bagged it up, and left. I won't be coming back.
