I placed an online order 30 minutes ahead of time, knowing exactly when I would be arriving. I arrived on time to pick up my order but it was nowhere to be seen. I waited in line to check my order and have it made by the walk-up area employees. I was told they couldn't do that and would have to wait for the take out people to make it. Twenty minutes later it still wasn't ready and the walk-up area employees are standing around wiping a steam table waiting for a customer to take care of. I walk up to the register to ask for a refund as I had other things I needed to do in town and I had wrongly assumed a 30 minute lead time (now up to 50 minutes lead time) was enough to pick up fast food. The cashier, a tall female with way too much eye liner and a bad attitude told me that I had to call a number. I asked to speak to a manager about the order and was promptly told she wouldn't speak to me about a refund. I was livid that a manager wouldn't even talk to me about my order. There was a tall guy working the online order who was the only bright spot of the experience. He asked for my name, checked if they had my order on a screen, apologized that a large order came in an instructed his coworker to try to expedite the order. The food was okay, if a bit overpriced given the portion size, and the CEOs comments about what their target market for income bracket is and how they will continue to jack up prices to target that market speaks volumes about this company. You can look that one up, he was caught on a hot mic disparaging his revenue source. I've worked in the food and beverage industry for 15 years and I would NEVER tell a guest that a manager won't speak to them, and would never think that handling refunds via a phone call would be acceptable. Given the 20% poverty rate in the Lakewood/Jamestown area and the inability to task idle staff in a 200 square foot kitchen to assist in other areas; I don't see this location lasting more than a year or two in this area once the novelty of a new eatery wears off. If you want good Mexican food, solid portion sizes and hospitable service, go up the street to Art of Flavors. Two stars for only one of four people I tried to approach to resolve my order issue actually attempting to do anything. 3 star on food for tasting pretty good but the chips were undercooked and queso was lukewarm, a possible health code violation.

The food is always good. The service is mediocre at best. The restaurant is always filthy! Food all over the serving line, dirty pans everywhere and dirty tables. How do you run out of meat, rice and veggies at 6 PM on a Saturday night?

Staff looks miserable and are rude. Poorly trained. Management is even ruder and incompetent as well. Food is hit and miss. It comes cold most of the time and look out for the attitude if you ask for it to be remade. Think I'll avoid this place. So much for having a good Mexican food restaurant around here.

Great food OK prices friendly staff. You get what you asked for. Love that it’s always made fresh every day. The wait time is getting better now that it’s not so new.
