  Had an amazing experience at Red Chilli. The food was absolutely delicious, with rich spices and perfectly balanced taste in every dish. Each item we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and well-presented. The portion sizes were generous and worth the price. The service was excellent, staff were friendly, attentive, and quick to help. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. I especially loved how consistent the quality was throughout the meal. If you’re new to NY and looking for authentic Indian cuisine, I would definitely recommend this restaurant and look forward to visiting again.

  i'm honestly confused seeing all these 5-stars reviews. i came here on a weekday afternoon with a friend since we saw this place recommended on reels and wanted to check it out. first off, the entire restaurant was empty and our waiter sat us at the very back, right next to the bathrooms. normally this wouldn't have been an issue but it was a little off-putting considering we we were so close, that we could smell the fumes coming from the inside. I had asked if we could move tables (since the place was entirely empty) but our waiter had refused. alright... we had both ordered the butter chicken and garlic naan, both of which were decent. although, also very confused how we had ordered very different spice levels, yet they tasted exactly the same. now, this is the part that truly bugged me. our waiter kept walking back and forth from our table, staring us down and kept asking if we were done which was extremely off-putting. when we asked for the check, we waited another 15 minutes before we asked again, only for him to realize he had forgotten to give it to us the first time. again, normally this wouldn't have been an issue if the place was actually busy, but it was entirely empty. make it make sense... would not come back here.

  Eating here was the most serendipitous event of the year. Stumbled upon this gem when looking for an alternative after our initial plans fell through. Right when we entered the door, we were pleasant greeted by the staff and they accommodated our last minute party. My friend has a wide array of allergies and the server took the time to understand them, confirm with the kitchen staff, and get back to us regarding which items were safe for him to eat. Service: 10/10 Now to the food. Big enough portions to where you get your money's worth, but small enough to where you can still try a wide variety of items. I heard this neighborhood had the best south Asian food compared to Manhattan, and this restaurant proved the chatter right. Food: 10/10 Their drinks were more than just the normal cocktails you can find at every other restaurant. I highly recommend the mango one and the guava one. Had I had the alcohol tolerance I would probably order 5 of each. Drinks: 10/10

The presentation alone was beautiful—each dish looked vibrant, fresh, and inviting. But the real magic happened with the first bite. The shrimp was perfectly cooked—tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor. The biryani was aromatic and rich, with just the right blend of spices that made every bite a delight. You could tell that the ingredients were of high quality, and that each dish had been prepared with care and attention to detail. And then there was the tandoori chicken—oh, the tandoori chicken! This is truly a must-try dish. The chicken was marinated to perfection, with a beautiful balance of spices that enhanced rather than overpowered the natural flavors. It was grilled to perfection, juicy on the inside with a slight smoky char on the outside, and absolutely unforgettable. Every bite made me appreciate the skill and passion of the chefs behind the scenes. What really stood out, beyond the incredible food, was the overall experience.   I recently had the pleasure of dining at this amazing restaurant, and I can honestly say it was one of the best food experiences I’ve had in a long time. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, attentive, and satisfied at every step of the meal. Their service was truly exceptional—friendly, professional, and genuinely caring, which made the entire experience even more enjoyable. Now, let’s talk about the food—because it was absolutely outstanding. Every dish we tried was made with high-quality ingredients and cooked to perfection. The portion sizes were generous, so you definitely get your money’s worth, but the best part was how delicious everything tasted. You can tell that the chefs put a lot of effort, skill, and passion into every dish. I highly recommend trying their shrimp and biryani. The shrimp was cooked perfectly, tender and full of flavor, while the biryani was aromatic, perfectly spiced, and just heavenly. Every bite was a delight.
