During my visit, I found the service provided by the bartenders to be disappointing. I had arranged to meet two friends during happy hour. My friends arrived approximately fifteen minutes prior to my arrival and were already seated at the bar. When I approached to order a drink, it was difficult to attract the bartenders' attention. Although there were six bartenders behind the counter, none acknowledged us or offered assistance. Despite several attempts to catch their eye—using greetings such as "Hello" and phrases like "Excuse me"—I had to explicitly request service by asking, "Hello, could we please get some assistance?" One of the bartenders responded after hearing me and took our order. About twenty minutes later, additional friends joined us at the bar. Once again, the bartenders ignored customers awaiting service. Frustrated, I raised my voice to seek help. I found the staff to be unhelpful and seemingly reluctant to attend to patrons. Additionally, we ordered appetizers but were not provided with utensils or napkins, which further diminished our experience. Our appetizers were satisfactory; however, the busboys were particularly eager to clear our dishes. It would have been preferable if the bartenders had demonstrated the same level of attentiveness. Overall, we felt rushed and uncomfortable. It is unfortunate, as Roccos has many positive attributes; perhaps the staff encountered that evening was unrepresentative of the establishment’s standard service.

I’m currently home on Holiday Block Leave from Active Duty Army at Fort Campbell, and stopped by tonight to try this place, as Walt Whitman has never had a taco place! Sam, our waitress immediately engaged us while making the most delicious table-side guacamole. She was attentive and cared about any dietary restrictions we had. She was absolutely amazing! The owner Rocco stopped by to check if everything was alright, and we told him the food was absolutely delicious. After our check arrived Rocco revisited the table and inquired if we had ordered any drinks and seemed to be trying to not charge us for drinks. When I informed him that I didn’t drink since I was in the military, and we had a great conversation about how much he respected the troops. He then proceeded to tear up our check and said he can do what he does because of guys like us in the Army. We then tried to tip Sam and she said serving us was all the payment she needed! Absolutely AMAZING PLACE!!! 100% will be back! Thank you Sam & Rocco!

Rocco’s is top shelf! The place is beautifully decorated and the vibe with the background music is so chill, but full of energy. Came tonight with my family and the dinner was amazing. We waited just under 15 minutes for a party of 6 at peak time around 6 o’clock and by the time we went and grabbed drinks at the bar, our table was ready. We ordered multiple apps - the wings, Ceviche, flauta’s and the guacamole, which is made table side. The ingredients were so fresh and everything was so tasty and flavorful. From the mojito’s to the margaritas and the ice cold Modelo’s on tap, the drinks are delish! And have to give props to our waitress Gabby. She was awesome! So friendly and very attentive! As busy as the place was, she was on top of everything at our table and truly made our experience there great. I had the Carne Molcajete, which was amazing. Others in the party had the burrito bowls, smash burger tacos, the skirt steak and taco salads. Not a complaint at the table. We finished with the cinnamon apple empanadas and Charley’s churros. So happy this place landed in Huntington at the Walt Whitman Shops and definitely a place we’ll be coming back to for sure!

I was very excited for Rocco’s to open on Long Island as I’ve been to a few of their Florida locations and love it. We didn’t see any reservations open online so figured we’d pick up food and bring it home. We were at the mall anyways so we walked in and asked if it was possible to place a to-go order and the girls at the front told us yes and to order at the bar. We placed our order and received a salad that looks completely different than the Florida locations and missing guac that is listed on the menu in the salad. It was already dressed and looked like it was someone’s leftovers (the mexican Cobb salad I’ve ordered at the other locations comes layered and not all mixed together.) And you’d think the dressing would come on the side but that wasn’t even really the issue. We brought it back confused because it does not look right and was totally missing guac. The people at the front told their staff and Joe (apparently the director of the company) was super nice and friendly and said he’d have it remade for us which he did! Honestly he was great but he reassured us everything was in there especially after I go “the guac is in there now?” Since the bag was stapled together and I didn’t wanna rummage through it with a fork while inside the restaurant 😅 and to which he said yes, it’s in there! Well, to our surprise we got home 45 mins later (since we traveled for this) and there was no guac in the salad and I’ve been trying to call the restaurant but no one answers! This is so unfortunate because I was SO excited for this. I missed this salad so much! The only positive is that it tastes delicious but would definitely be much better if it included everything (that I paid for.) If only we were a close drive we would’ve went back a second time, but now there’s no way of contacting them so I wanted to share so that it doesn’t happen to anyone else.

From the moment you walk in, the space feels electric — colorful, stylish, and buzzing with energy. It’s the kind of place that instantly puts you in a good mood and makes you excited for what’s coming to the table. The food absolutely delivered. The tacos were packed with bold, authentic flavors, served on fresh corn tortillas that elevated every bite. We tried the steak, shrimp, pork and veggie options, everything was expertly seasoned and beautifully presented. And we ordered the fresh tableside guacamole! Fresh, creamy, and customizable — it’s was as fun to watch as it was to eat. Rocco’s feels just as much a destination for drinks as it is for food. Every cocktail feels thoughtfully made and perfectly balanced. I had the Cadillac Margarita!! Delicious! What really tied the whole experience together was the service. The staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, and made us feel welcome without ever being overbearing. You can tell they cared about creating a great experience from start to finish. Amazing Mexican food, cool vibe and incredible cocktails, the lively atmosphere make this an instant NEW favorite at the Walt Whitman Mall a must-visit and can’t wait to return soon. CHEERS! 🌮🍹✨
