I’m really disappointed with my experience at Waverly Deli. I ordered a tuna salad sandwich, and the tuna was sour and clearly spoiled. It was completely inedible and honestly concerning to be served something like that.
What made the situation worse was observing poor food-safety practices. Staff were using their phones while wearing gloves and then continuing to prepare food without changing those gloves. I also noticed gloves not being changed between tasks, which is a serious hygiene issue.
When concerns were raised, the attitude from staff was dismissive and unprofessional, as if food safety and customer health were not a priority.
Between the spoiled tuna, lack of basic sanitation, and poor customer service, I won’t be returning. There are plenty of other places that take cleanliness and food quality seriously.

Ordered through a delivery service, the hash browns were so oily that one bite had grease shoot into my throat, the chicken was heavily burned but fries undercooked & have a weird aftertaste that tells me they don’t change their oil. Since they didn’t even start cooking until the driver got there, it’s a testament to their lack of quality & care. As a chef, with the quality they’re comfortable showing customers, I have to question their hygiene practices customers can’t see.

eggs were cooked good (over easy) losing 2 stars because there was 1 piece of bacon on my bacon egg and cheese.
