  I had a disappointing experience at Stop & Shop today. After finishing our shopping, my mother and I went to check out. Our cashier, Gurleen, did not greet us and continued talking to her coworker instead of acknowledging us. I didn’t initially mind, but the situation became uncomfortable. When I declined a shopping bag (because I keep reusable ones in my car), she immediately looked at her coworker and began making comments, including using inappropriate language like “shit,” while still in front of us. As someone who worked eight years in the food industry, I understand customer service standards — and cursing in front of customers is unprofessional. To make matters worse, when my card unfortunately declined, she kept exchanging looks with her coworker in a way that felt judgmental and disrespectful, as if we were doing something wrong. It was embarrassing and unnecessary. I believe Stop & Shop is a great store overall, but experiences like this reflect poorly on the business. I hope management takes customer service and professionalism seriously

  I needed to exchange some deodorant. The woman at customer service was nice and helped me quickly!

  Avoid this location. I attempted to send money through Western Union, and although I explained to the staff that the address on my ID was outdated and asked them to use a different address, the employee was extremely rude and refused to process my transaction simply because she insisted on using my old address. Both Sofia and her manager treated me disrespectfully, displaying clear prejudice against Latinos. I even recorded the entire interaction. I strongly recommend steering clear of these racist and privileged individuals. Are you saying you can’t accept my passport because it doesn’t list an address? I’ll be discussing this issue with my Western Union manager regarding this location.

  I live in Hicksville between a Stop & Shop Hicksville and Shoprite Plainview. Went to Stop & Shop to get some stuff. Spent few mnts at meat section looking for ground beef, there was none. Asked a male employee if they have ground beef. "No" he said. Anything in the back? "No" out for the day. So I left the items I already picked and drove to Shoprite, Plainview. How can you not have ground beef at around 3pm and tell me "out for the day" not trying to help a customer. Very Dis-Appointed, not going back again.
