    I hadn't eaten at Waterzooi in something like 15-20 years, but my memories were so fond I had to go back. The food was great - except the fries were just OK, and in my memories they were AMAZING. I know it was a long time ago, but I remember thin, Belgian-style super crisp fries served in a paper cone. These were just regular fries. The aioli was great, at least. The gnocchi "appetizer" is delicious and enough for a meal, and the mussels were cooked perfectly. 4 stars for atmosphere just because it's so loud I couldn't hear a thing, but if you like a lively friday night dinner, you'll enjoy the vibe.

    I don’t get to Long Island often, but on a visit back in 2015, I discovered this hidden gem, and it immediately became one of my favorite spots. I ordered the sweet potato gnocchi with sausage, and it was absolutely amazing—rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Even years later, I still think about it! Franklin Avenue is a fantastic area near Roosevelt Field Mall with plenty to do, making this restaurant the perfect spot for lunch or dinner. The atmosphere is welcoming and the food is outstanding. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, this place is a must try, you won’t be disappointed. I can’t wait for my next trip to Long Island to enjoy it again!

    I went here for dinner last week. I had their oysters, lobster bisque, and truffle fries. It was delicious. Inside the restaurant is very nice and comfortable seating. Great atmosphere.The food is great. The staff was extremely friendly. Will definitely come back. I highly recommend this place!
