We dropped by for the very first time and ordered Baba Ghanoush, Hummus and Kimchi dumplings! Wow! These dumplings were the best I ever tasted with the perfect spices in giving it a unique texture. The server mentioned that on Fridays and Saturdays, they introduce many international dishes that draws a nice crowd every time. This was by far an Alee Okan Experience type of set up where food becomes a form of Art. Amazing! 🤩 Don’t miss this restaurant in Franklin, NY nearby Walton and Oneonta.

While traveling yesterday, my brother and myself came across the Tulip and the Rose. The exterior was interesting so we stopped in. The restaurant was well designed and clean ,as was the men’s room.
The staff were very polite and friendly. The food we ordered was very fresh and flavorful.
I have traveled a lot and have been to many eating establishments and I have to say we really enjoyed the T and the R.
We live in Rome NY and how I wish we had the T and the R there.
When we are in Cooperstown again, we will make the trip to go to thr T and the R again.

We traveled to Franklin in 2023 over thanksgiving. We ate here twice and have regarded it as our favorite restaurant we’ve ever been to since. Phenomenal fried chicken, interesting and intentional flavors throughout a clearly curated small menu. Thank you!

This place is such a gem in downtown Franklin! The aesthetics are beautiful, and it’s a wonderful spot to meet up with friends or spend time with family. They rotate their menu regularly, which keeps things fresh and exciting. The portions are quite generous as well!
My husband and I both ordered The Javanese. The noodles were delicate and flavorful, with a very mild spice level (around 0.5–1), and the egg added a nice texture. The sujuk (turkey sausage) was a bit overcooked for my personal taste, but that’s just preference, not a knock on the chef. I also really enjoyed the Dragon Pearl tea.
The service was kind and relaxed, very European-style, where you’re not rushed out of the restaurant, which I really appreciate. Overall, it’s definitely worth stopping by if you’re in the area!

The food was greasy and tasteless and the service was nonexistent. After 35 minutes of sitting at the table they placed us at, I had to go and find someone to get us glasses of water. If you’re part of the commune they treat you great and get your order immediately. Everyone else can wait. I’ve never been back, nor will I.
