We then finished off with two homade deserts, a berry tart and apfel strudel, both a la mode! Super meal.

The German beer is great and the food is as authentic as you can get. The staff is friendly and the place is comfortable. We have eaten here before going to UBS for the Islanders games. This is highly recommended.

Prices are a tad on the high side (entrees start at ~$19 and go up to ~$50 as of 11/2025) but all German restaurants in this region are pricey. The Wurst platter is not huge, consisting of two smallish wurst, two walnut-sized dumplings, and a smallish ladle of red cabbage. I was still hungry afterwards. (Okay...maybe I'm a pig...if so, that's on me.) What cost a star from my rating was that their menu states that they will NOT split a check. I cannot fathom the need for such a policy from a specialty destination restaurant... ...in 2025 ....when most people pay by credit card. If you're a couple or a family and don't plan on having to split a check, replace the star. But if you're going with a bunch of friends, bring cash.
