Granted my fault for not checking dates, brought an expired item, however unable to a get a refund because customer service opens at 9am and I showed up at 7 am woman at counter was dismissive
A very well stocked supermarket with extremely helpful and friendly staff. I recently discovered this place after going there to purchase an Amazon gift card and was assisted by Doris, a very polite store representative who went out of her way to accommodate me even though Customer Service who handles gift cards was closed for the evening. While I was here I discovered that their fresh vegetable and fruit section is possibly the biggest in the area, their grocery section is humongous and they even have fresh seafood, a kitchen and bath section, personal hygiene products and toiletries, canned food and everything you can possibly imagine. I also recommend their hot food department which features baked bbq chicken and roasted chicken, and Heather who works that department is a wonderful person. The sheer friendliness of the people working there is amazing to say the least. Plus they are open later than other places.
While Stop & Shop offers a wide range of products and generally well-stocked shelves, I've found their customer experience to be marred by systemic issues. Notably, discrepancies between advertised sale prices and checkout costs are a frequent concern, resulting in unexpected overcharges. Furthermore, the presence of expired products on shelves raises concerns about inventory management and quality control. To address these issues, I suggest that corporate leadership conduct a thorough review of store operations and implement corrective measures to ensure pricing accuracy and product freshness. By doing so, they can enhance customer satisfaction and reinforce trust in the brand."
Clean always stocked.. parking lot can be chaos if you go at the wrong time.. but other wise it's great open late. Been going there forever. The prices are much better then the majority of supermarkets in the area.
Today 3/7/26 at approximately 735am, I made an attempt to select the avocado on the self checkout but it did not come at the sale price. This male employee comes over to assist me and I informed him of this. He replied "you chose the wrong one!" He waa shaking his head during the duration of correcting the issue.
I pulled out my phone and start recording for further rudeness.
By the time Im outside the store he looks at me raising both arms so I come back inside to confront him about this but does not further engage after I asked him what that's about. There was a female employee intervening telling me that I cannot take photos. I was not taking photos....I was RECORDING a VIDEO the whole entire time. I informed her that he gave me an attitude which I don't believe he mentioned. I had no issues with her.
They should have their own video cameras hopefully with audio to confirm this.
