  Every time I visit this store, it takes less than five minutes before I’m asking myself, “Why on earth did I come here?” I always swear I won’t return—and then, somehow, time passes, I forget, and I end up back again. First, the meat and produce are mediocre at best (though, oddly enough, the bakery isn’t terrible). Second, they are always out of at least one item I need—and I’m not talking about anything obscure. I’m talking basic staples. Third, the staff are generally not very friendly or helpful. Some are pleasant, but many seem downright grumpy. Fourth, for a store that really isn’t that great, the lines are consistently long. They never have enough cashiers, and you’re inevitably pushed into self-checkout, which is a nightmare. Fifth… actually, forget it. I’m getting frustrated all over again just writing this. If you’re not convinced by now, go see for yourself and suffer. I genuinely hope the Stop & Shop company takes notice and invests some money into improving this location, because it is in a prime spot. Until then, save yourself the trip—there are much better alternatives in Eastchester, including one just a couple of blocks away!

  Unbelievable! Old lady with a cane that works there was more concerned about a left over receipt that a previous customer didn’t want at self check out as if I was going to take the receipt and do something with it. She didn’t even assist me with scanning the huge pack of water I was purchasing. Terrible customer service!

  I asked for the stop and shop brand for cold cuts when I arrived at the cashier it was all boar’s heads .
