  well where to begin i have so much good to say about this place but here goes in no particular order i see people complain about the pricing in this place but i suppose they never dined at a high class restaurant before and one should go for good food and ambiance not just the price tag i mean with quality does come cost anyways there was a 100 year old sweet little lady that chose this place to celebrate and i can only think this was probably one of the best meals she ever had in her long life everything was delicious from appetizers to main course to dessert the owner host who took care of us diego v was very polite professional and seemed truly invested in his customers having a very pleasant dining experience i would disregard the lower ratings for ridiculous reasons such as potholes and other fake accounts simply created to try and tarnish this relatively new striving business shame on those people thats such bad karma to slam a new business just to try and ruin people sad that there are people like that on here i hope this place remains open a very very long time the food is fresh tasty the decor and ambiance are 5 stars and for those trying to watch their wallets or purses do try their lunch or dinner pre fixe one price its really a great deal good luck philia which means love which we need much more of in this world

  I had such a great experience at this Greek restaurant! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming, with a cozy vibe that made it perfect for a relaxed meal. The food was absolutely delicious, everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and authentically prepared. The lamb chops were perfectly seasoned, the Santorini clams pasta was creamy , perfect and the portions were generous. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed without feeling rushed. You can tell they really care about both the food and the customer experience. If you’re looking for a spot with amazing Mediterranean flavors and great service, this place is definitely worth visiting. I’ll be coming back for sure!

  I grew up in Sunnyside and worked in Astoria. Now I've found great Greek food that I can walk to. Dinner was excellent. Everything authentic and very fresh. Wonderful friendly service. Now we have to go back with family and friends. Absolutely a keeper. Check it out! Good wines and desserts.

  I had an absolutely incredible experience at Philia Restaurant—this place truly hits on every level. From the moment you walk in, the ambience sets the tone. It’s warm, inviting, and effortlessly stylish with a cozy yet upscale feel that makes it perfect whether you’re out for a date night or a dinner with friends. You can tell a lot of thought went into creating an atmosphere where you actually want to sit back, relax, and enjoy the experience. The food was outstanding across the board. Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The whole grilled fish was cooked perfectly—light, flaky, and paired with a bright lemony sauce and capers that elevated every bite. The lamb chops were another standout—juicy, tender, and seasoned just right with that perfect char from the grill. And the chicken skewers with rice and grilled vegetables were packed with flavor, simple but done exceptionally well. Service was just as impressive. The staff was attentive without being overbearing, genuinely friendly, and made sure everything came out smoothly. You really feel taken care of here, which adds so much to the overall experience. Between the amazing food, top-notch service, and beautiful ambience, Philia absolutely deserves five stars. This is definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to again and again.
