  Tonight was the first time we didnt wait forever in the drive thru, usually its about 5 minutes or longer. The Employees are ALWAYS very nice, I never have a complaint there. The fries & nuggets weren't fresh, the fries were very salty, I couldn't eat them. The quarter pounder was a mess, not put together with love, the cheese wasn't melted. Anytime we are in Cobleskill & get McDonald's, the food is never very good, again, the people are always nice. They never have McFlurry's, why have it on the menu.

  Waited for 10 minutes in drive thru noone answered or asked us to wait we pulled up to the window since we had a Mobil order and waited 20 more minutes just for a couple of items

  Sat at the drive thru screen for 25 minutes while they took orders from the line on the other side. If I didn’t have a mobile order I would’ve left, once the worker finally spoke through the speaker she was incredibly rude and unpleasant.

  Rolled into McDonald’s in Cobleskill like a man who’s made questionable life choices but still believes in small miracles. All I wanted was food, honesty, and maybe — if the universe felt generous — a milkshake. Mom ordered a Filet-O-Fish and asked for a vanilla shake. I ordered a value meal and hoped the price on the drive-thru menu meant what it said. Simple dreams. Working-class dreams. Joe Dirt dreams. Let’s give credit where it’s due: The staff was friendly, genuinely nice, and moved things along at a good clip. No sighs. No attitude. Just solid humans doing their jobs, which in today’s world feels like finding a lucky penny that doesn’t smell weird. Now… the darkness. The milkshake machine is no longer broken — it is emotionally unavailable. I have successfully acquired a milkshake 1 time out of my last 5 visits. That’s not bad luck, that’s the machine actively teaching me a lesson about attachment and impermanence. At this point I don’t ask if it’s working. I ask what kind of mood it’s in. Then there was the price. The drive-thru menu board said one number. The order screen said $0.20 more. I paid it. I didn’t throw a tantrum or scream about conspiracies. But my brain did that Joe Dirt math: “Now I ain’t no rocket surgeon… but if 250 people a day order value meals and get dinged two dimes, that’s real money. That ain’t pocket change — that’s corporate couch cushion change.” It also jogged my memory of when McDonald’s admitted they’d been overcharging for a long time and said sorry with a brief price break, like “Here’s a nickel, don’t ask questions.” I hope this was just a glitch. A hiccup. A register having a rough childhood. But if it’s not… how long’s it been happening? Final thoughts: ✔ Friendly service ✔ Decent speed ✔ Food did what food is legally required to do ❌ Milkshake machine appears to be locked in a lifelong internal struggle ❓ Menu prices and register prices are living separate lives Four stars because the people were good and the food showed up. But until the milkshake machine finds peace, or a higher calling, or at least a technician… I’ll keep coming back, staring at that menu board like Joe Dirt looking at a fireworks stand thinking: “Maybe this time… this is the one.”
