Hi,
I am a worker of a McDonald’s too,
and I went to this restaurant to order my food to the register (at 8:30pm approximately today 12/21/25). First things first, there was a worker laying on the counter where the food is placed unprofessionally, and rude. I managed to hear a name, which was Amir. I don’t know if it was this guy, but because of his facial traits, he looked Indian ethnicity. (I am so sorry if not and for my assumptions) Here is why he is unprofessional: I asked him if he was taking orders, he responded by: “yes, or you can use the kiosk if you want.” (I don’t do this at my restaurant, I take their orders politely. By the way, I am 15 years old, this gentleman looks like an adult, he should be better than me at costumer service.) he said this while he was still laying on the counter waiting for his co-worker for whatever he was doing. I personally was not satisfied with this costumer service. I ordered my food, and I waited. I also went there because I was thirsty and I needed some water, so I ordered a large cup of water. This time, the other co-worker asked very politely if we were ordering. I told him “no, but could I have a large cup of water, please”. The gentleman was confused by my request which was odd because in the McDonalds like mine there is usually water but in this one I don’t see any. He gave me the cup and said “it’s on the house” which still was odd but because water is free either way, still this was really nice and that’s why I didn’t marked this a ONE star! I was confused by this because in my McDonalds we give out tap water for free depending on the size they ask for. The food was done really fast. But, My dad told me that where was his drink? so I went and asked the same guy that was rude to me and told him, “oh, we’re missing a medium Coke”. He told me, “oh yes that’s because the other worker gave you the large size cup.” Obviously I was confused because the large cup was for the water that I requested which was free, and by the way there was no water, so I got myself iced tea. I told him this and I explained him why I had this drink, but he didn’t care and told me, “but that’s not water,” I, said “yes because you guys don’t have water. Can I have the Coke that’s on the order?” He said, “OK but I have to charge you for another drink” And I was like, “oh, but this one is the one I asked because water is free, but you guys don’t have water, and the other worker told me that it was on the house, so what’s the problem?” He still insisted to charge me and said “ yea but I still have to charge you for another drink” which didn’t make any sense at all. Lastly, he didn’t care so he still charged me. I honestly Didn’t like this customer service because not only he did not care for my justification which was right and It was Not my fault because the drink was on the house like the other co-worker said, but because the nonsense and unnecessary and unprofessional way that this worker treated me and acted like. Very bad compared to his co-worker, which had a band-Aid so it’s better detailed who were working this day.
