I went there because I saw an ad on Facebook and since it was close to my home, I decided to walk over and try it. For what they are selling, it’s very expensive! I didn’t try the chicken but I brought the fish box and it was served with Mac n Cheese and a corn muffin. The cost was $18.00 and I got a donut for $5.00. When I got home I tired the fish and it was the most blandest fish I have ever had! Completely tasteless! Shop and Stop fish is way better when they have it. The doughnut was awful as well. Overall, it wasn’t a pleasant experience, but maybe, I give another try and sit down and eat.

The food was definitely good I got the chicken and waffle and a three-piece with grits and biscuit. Biscuit... excellent. The grits were very creamy. The chicken although fresh and tasted good Y'all need to brine that chicken a little bit longer like the spot in Williamsburg. I mean even over there has changed a little bit but y'all got to get that flavorful brined chicken taste back. I put fives for everything but I'm going to come back because I'm one of the original people that went to pies and thighs in Williamsburg I would always get the sour cherry pie. Imma review my review in two months...It would be nice to make those grits in a little larger order too 😁. I see good things in the future for this spot.

This is their new location on Flatbush ave. Upon walking in I was greeted delightfully by the host and I can see that business looked like it was going well. All the tables were taken but nobody had food on their table. I respectfully requested to order takeout instead. The food took approximately 45 minutes to come out. There was exactly five chefs that I can see in the kitchen and about 2 to 3 wait staff walking around. Whatever is going on in the back office it needs to get better. Out of the 15 to 16 tables that were occupied only two or three had food on their tables, everybody else was waiting. I ordered the chicken and waffles and the chicken was very tender. The waffles were very good and tasty. However, they only provided one flimsy spork to eat for takeout and no napkins. The quality of the food did not help the fact that it took way too long with the amount of staff they had. I may expect this from small brand new pop-up restaurant, but not a restaurant of this caliber. Until they get their act together, I would wait to try this one. I would have to recommend their original location in Williamsburg.

they took over the old pecking house on flatbush. called and got pecking houses’s old number so not entirely sure how to make a reservation in the future. i dont love the decor, but sounds like theyve only been open a week so theyre still working on everything. also i think they should move the hostess area closer to the door instead of behind a column, but thats just my opinion. the food is actually a lot. hefty portions. bf and myself both got the chicken box. im not sure if the biscuit comes with butter, mine didnt. they actually forgot my bfs biscuit but brought him it separately and gave him a honey butter. the butter was enough for both of us but it made the biscuits 10x better. his 1 chicken piece was also MUCH larger than mine but it was actually a lot of food. i noticed some people mentioned the food isnt seasoned. theres salt and pepper and ketchup and hot sauce on the tables as well as syrup. they ran out of beans so i got the mac and cheese and im glad its not the boxed kind. it was tasty. bf got the cheese grits and he enjoyed that. service seemed pretty hectic as it seemed quite busy. not like i had anywhere important to be but a lot of people were waiting. all in all, it was a good meal. tbh it felt like an elevated popeyes but with locally sourced, made in house stuff. a solid 3.5 for now. id like to come back and try a pie and biscuits and gravy next time.

Such a good bang for your buck, you can’t go wrong with any of the chicky combos. We also ordered a biscuit and gravy, which was indulgent and decadent - def needed a nap after eating that. They were sold out of fried pickles and collards at 8p so definitely would want to come back to try those. Burnt ends beans were on a sweeter side, the Mac and cheese was tasty but def gave a kids meal vibe (no complaints!) Highlight was the broccoli appetizer! Looks kind of unassuming but the dish is so tasty, zesty but balanced - yum! Service was fine, they were definitely busy so it was a bit hard to flag a waiter and some of the tables were on a smaller size so you kind of had to get creative with placement. But all in all def a wonderful add to the neighborhood!
