  Absolute comedy, this place. Paid 4 dollars extra for steak in my bowl, only to be graced with 5 whole pieces of steak.. not to mention they forgot my chipotle sauce (also $1 extra) which I had to go back to the restaurant to get.

  Leaf is the most adorable place! We live in the neighborhood and love coming here for a quick coffee, breakfast, remote work day, etc. It’s perfect for a delicious quick/healthy meal and peaceful modern atmosphere. You don’t feel like you’re near busy broadway at all. Our only wish is that they were open even earlier to grab a quick coffee on the way to office days :) It is a wonderful spot in the community!

  I love everything about this place except its a little too expensive. A regular bowl with chicken is 17$+ I need it to be 12-14$ max. If it was I would go everyday but this price maybe once a week. How are other restaurants able to have bowls around 14$? Why does the chicken need to be an extra 4$? At least one meat should come free with the bowl because who wants a plain bowl or salad with no main entree?

  Disappointing experience!! When ordering, I noticed an additional charge for to-go containers. When I asked about it, the employee simply pointed to a sign instead of explaining, which immediately felt dismissive. After that, the employee preparing my food seemed visibly annoyed, which made the interaction uncomfortable. More concerning was the food handling. I observed the employee going in and out of a door, touching the register, receipt paper, and other surfaces — all while wearing the same gloves used to prepare my meal. This raised serious hygiene concerns. My order was also left sitting instead of being packaged until I approached the counter, which added to the overall unwelcoming experience. The interaction throughout felt passive-aggressive. For a $16 bowl, the portion size was also underwhelming and not filled as expected. I ended up returning shortly after leaving to request a refund. The staff member who handled the refund was respectful and professional, which I appreciated. However, the overall experience suggests a need for improvement in both customer service and food handling.

  the vibes here are amazing! so much space inside, great lighting, plants everywhere, and the food is DELICIOUS. i got the egg sandwich on an everything bagel and it was one of the best i’ve had in the city. the avocados were perfect & the sauce it came with was delicious. and my latte was great! the people who work here are kind.
