The food was terrible. If you go early, you might get leftovers from the previous day. The rice was hard, and the fish was awful. Don't waste your money, time, or your mood.

Not sure I would order from here again. The ingredients seemed fresh but the spicy tuna roll had very little actual tuna in it - you can see the rice all the way around and into the center of the roll. For the price, go to Ten Ichi Mart and gets two or three times as much fish in your roll for half the price :/

Temakase was easily one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in NYC. We walked in around 8p on a cold Sunday and were instantly greeted by a warm, generous, and attentive staff. And I know what you’re thinking: “three adjectives in a row — he used AI to write that sentence.” I didn’t, but good looking out. The hand rolls here are incredible. The fish is fresh, the portions are generous, and I even got to try an Everything Bagel Hand Roll, which, despite it sounding sacrilegious, is one of the best things I had here. I’ll be coming back for sure.

I would love this place more if there was a traditional handroll option. No frills (similar to Kazu nori in LA) which allow the flavor and texture of the fish to shine without unnecessary add ons like truffle.
The crispy rice could also be improved because it came out at the end of our meal, wasn’t the right texture (too dense), and didn’t really add to the experience for me.
Also, a small request - a lot of handroll spots have a yuzu sauce option which would be an amazing addition to your menu.

So glad this sushi spot is in the neighborhood! Every roll looked great, and everything we tried was delicious - especially the spicy tuna, baked crab, and wagyu. The service was wonderful too. Everyone was so friendly, kind, and attentive. Can’t wait to go back.
