This isn’t the first time this has happened. I always leave clear instructions to toast the bread, yet whoever prepares the sandwich either ignores or doesn’t read it. My biggest pet peeve is paying for something and receiving the exact opposite of what I ordered. This isn’t free customers deserve to get what they paid for. Why would you send a sandwich cold, untoasted, and with stale bread?
