I did an online order for today. It was confirmed on Friday. Was supposed to be 10 to 11am. Two o'clock and no delivery. Called up and kept getting the runaround from the first person.
Finally, received some answers at 2:30pm!
This is unprofessional and disgusting treatment of a customer! When we had Covid, stop and shop needed our business. Now, since people are shopping in the store I guess those who still need delivery service don't matter.
To be told they haven't packed your order and it's past the time scheduled is ridiculous!
Then they canceled the order without my permission. They said door dash canceled it. Without my permission!
I order through stop and shop, so They are responsible!
This passing of the buck is nonsense!
What kind of b.s. is this? Poor customer service Terrible organization when it comes to delivery, and overall, a huge fail. Do not use door dash and allow them to cancel an order without permission!
They wouldn't send our order saying they now have no availability until Tuesday, when we chose today at 10am to 11am!
If i could do a negative zero I would.
Do online delivery at your own risk as they don't care since they don't need delivery customers anymore!!!
We will Not be using them again!

This Stop & Shop on Ave Y customer service is horrible. They never answer the phone, if a miracle occurs & someone actually answers, they still cannot help. A customer might actually want answers before they place an order or after they place an order. Horrible customer service.
I work in delivery, where time management is critical. At this pickup location, I was initially told to wait 30 minutes, then an additional 20 minutes, and the delay continued far beyond that without clear communication or resolution.
Out of three assigned orders, only two were prepared. When I attempted to leave, the shopping cart wheel was locked. I was informed that only a manager had the key to resolve the issue. I went to the designated manager area, but the manager was not present. I waited an extended period after staff attempted to contact the manager, but no assistance was provided.
Due to excessive delays, lack of organization, and the absence of on-site management support, I was forced to cancel the order. This directly impacted my only source of income, as I rely on delivery work to support my family as a single mother.
This situation reflects a serious operational failure, and I request that this location’s pickup procedures and management accountability be formally reviewed to prevent similar incidents in the future.

Their customer service is very unprofessional when answering phones. She doesnt even give you the chance to listen. Instead she automatically transfers you to a number where Noone is picking up instead of trying to see if she can help.
