While UberEats did refund me for the drink, I’m honestly more disappointed than anything else. I completely understand that mistakes happen, especially when it’s close to closing time. I’m not a difficult customer, and I would have been okay if the store had contacted me to let me know they were out of matcha. Other stores sometimes call, substitute items, or even cancel when something’s unavailable. But to receive plain milk instead of what I was looking forward to was really frustrating. I was genuinely excited for my drink, and that excitement quickly turned into disappointment. I hope this doesn’t happen to others and that the store communicates better in the future.
