Dar was very good our waitress Cece was the best and I loved the ambiance. My family and I had a lovely time. Food was super yummy and the mocktails were exceptional. It’s not a place I would get Baklava from as it was dry with little honey. However, we will definitely come back for again.

I came and met my friends for brunch and was allowed to sit down. Cici (Cece) was a delight and she was very attentive and made sure we were good the whole time. We’ll definitely come back 10/10!

I am writing to express my disappointment regarding my experience at DAR525 in Bed-Stuy on Saturday, January 24, 2026. While the food was fresh and delicious, the lack of customer service and transparency was unacceptable.
Despite the freezing outdoor temperatures, the restaurant was incredibly cold. My guests and I ate while wearing our coats, hats, and scarves. When we asked to have the heat turned up, we were told the system was broken and the thermostat could not be adjusted. However, I noticed the restroom was perfectly warm with hot air blowing from the vent.
When I requested to speak with a manager, I was told he had already left. After I requested compensation for the shockingly uncomfortable environment, the staff called him. I was offered a meager 10% discount, which I find insufficient given the circumstances. Furthermore, a staff member informed me that their heating issue began on January 23rd. Had I been informed of this when I made my reservation, I would have chosen to order takeout or dine elsewhere.
While there have been far and few times that I have experienced a known issue at a restaurant, each time, the server or manager offered compensation willingly. Yesterday's lack of respect, customer care, and consideration for our discomfort left a lasting impression. It is disappointing that quality food was overshadowed by such blatant disregard for the customer's well-being. Management should ensure that staff are empowered to handle these situations with transparency and better care for the customer.
