I told him that wasn’t a double. A double is supposed to be around 2 to 3 ounces. He got angry immediately. So I asked him a simple question: “How much liquid is in that cup?” He looked straight at me and asked, completely seriously, “What is liquid?” His eyes were red, and there was a noticeable smell of weed around. I can’t say for sure whether he was high or just having a strange moment, but he definitely didn’t seem entirely present. And of course, he had already taken my money for the double espresso I never actually received. All this chaos was over a single cup of coffee. Impressive.
