What a wonderful introduction to Nigerian cuisine. Our family went for a birthday celebration. We shared such a beautiful experience. Food, drink, service and hospitality. Thank you for making the celebration so very special for us.

They should shut this restaurant down; it is very dirty, the service is poor, the staff are very rude, and when you ask them how long the food will take, they tell you that you can leave if you don't want to wait.

I’m actually a long time customer of BUKA but I think I’ve had enough. It’s like I have amnesia and continue ordering from them just to be disappointed every time. The egusi is so hit or miss. Today was a miss. Was more red stew and oil than it was egusi. But what really annoyed me today was the chicken they gave me with my jollof chicken combo. Fully burnt chicken. I’ve sent them the photos and they claim that it’s exactly how they intended so I want to post it here so they can stand on what they said. This is their “grilled chicken” guys. They said the burnt parts are seasoning, when I took a bite it just tasted like charcoal. In the photo I peeled back some of the skin so it’s not even as bad as it looked when it first arrived. They have promised to send me a replacement if I ever order again but tbh I don’t think I’ll be back. I’m done with them. They’ve also done this in the past when they sent me burnt plantain and claimed that it’s how it’s supposed to be as if I don’t know how plantain should be cooked. Also they need to remove Chapman from their menu. I’ve ordered it multiple times in the past and each time they would replace it with malt (a cheaper drink) instead of calling me or refunding me.
Also the man on the phone needs manners. He fully burped in my ear. How rude and disgusting when on call with a customer
Edit: So BUKA has responded to my review calling me a liar. On the phone he told me the chicken was supposed to be like this and that it was not a mistake. Regarding my points I literally already said in my review that you promised to send me a replacement but that I am choosing not to shop with you again. Go worry about your horrible ratings instead of calling me a liar when this is clearly a track record for you. You have no response to any other part of my review either because you know you have nothing to say. Shop here at your own risk

Where to go for authentic Nigerian cuisine. This is not a fusion joint.
Unfortunately, this means don't expect the most lavish dining experience.
