  I come here pretty frequently for good music and great food, but last night was the best service I ever received at this establishment. Aside from the music creating a great vibe with carribean and afro beats, the food tasted so amazing as always with the perfect amount of flavors so they aren’t too overpowering but just enough. With Solana as my waitress she helped me feel so much more comfortable especially because l was dining alone which led to her conversing with me regularly throughout the night. Her service was superb and anytime I asked for something it was done in a timely manner. I can’t forget about the two bartenders Gabby and Vegas who had me feeling GREAT by the end of the night! Those are two lovely ladies who were so sweet are were so welcoming once I had switched to the bar area, plus their drinks??? Amazing. Lastly, my hookah girl Kay was just the cherry of top. I typically go to dyckman for good hookah but once I seen the tissue around the pipe of the hookah I knew it was gna be bussin, and she didn’t disappoint. All of these lovely ladies were the reason I had such an amazing night and I hope to see them again at my next outing at the shaking crab. 🩷🩷🩷

  ### Review of The Shaking Crab - One Star 🌊🦀 I recently visited The Shaking Crab in the Bronx, and I have to say, it was a major disappointment. I was really looking forward to indulging in some delicious crab legs, as highlighted in so many Instagram posts, but they forgot to include them in my order! What a letdown. When I brought this to their attention, they apologized and said they'd take 10% off the bill. Instead, I was shocked to find that they added three items that didn’t even belong to my order. I should have double-checked before paying, but it’s incredibly frustrating! While the atmosphere was nice, and the drinks had a good vibe, I don’t think it justifies the staggering $300 bill for one boil and two drinks. Plus, they tacked on an 18% service charge! Honestly, there are way better places to spend your money. This place isn't worth it, so don’t get pulled in by the pretty posts on social media. One star all the way. 🥴👎

  Manu changed. Met Max at the bar. She is one of the best and skillful bartender ever saw. She managed to give the best service while training not one or two but three people. Was disappointed with the menu change but still coming back definitely. Love this place

  The food was great but service was horrible....there was only 1 server on wed night and we had to wait long for food and server barely came around to check on us....to reply to the store reply....there might be 3 servers however 1 were by the bar and other were not seen....i had to stand up and raise my hand to get attention where we spent almost 300 dollars....this is not the best service.....food was great but you really need to do better in service where food is not cheap and we are paying for the experience....we are not in mcdonald buying 10 dollar item

  I came here to celebrate my sister’s birthday yesterday and overall it was a great experience. The service was amazing truly top-tier. From the moment we walked in, everyone was respectful, welcoming, and professional. Now listen… the music was loud loud 😅 omg, my ears were ringing but aside from that, the music itself was good and definitely set the vibe. The food? So good. You can never go wrong with snow crab, shrimp, potatoes, and broccoli drenched in a good sauce. The garlic bread was delicious and honestly didn’t even need the extra butter on the side I ate it just like that and it was perfect. I do want to mention that I’m not really a fan of crawfish, clams, or mussels. I did try the crawfish no offense at all to the kitchen crew but I’ll definitely be sticking to what I know and love next time. :-) That said, Yes, it is a bit on the pricey side, I’m still excited to come back and try other items on the menu. One of my favorite parts was that they offer hookah. I’m a hookah girl, so that was really the icing on the cake for me. As for the drinks, I didn’t try everything lol, but the one I had was really good. I also want to give a shout out to the kitchen crew and the servers who brought out the food everyone was delightful, and very presentable. Even the security guard at the door was polite and welcoming. When you walk into a place where everyone carries themselves professionally, it makes you want to come back and continue to support the business. Thank you for making my sister birthday a moment she’ll always remember. 🎉💛 I’d definitely come back again.
