- ZZZi ZiOct 28, 20255.0One of the best experience ever. Today 10/28 while I was ready to pay at self-serve , I realized I forgot my wallet in the car. I told the girl who was supervising those check-out machines. She said no worries. When I returned, my whole groceries were already in the paper bags ready to go. She even hanged the sunglasses on the side of the bag, to not get damaged. Why I'm surprised? Because she went above and beyond and she is very young. I am shoping at this store for few years, and this was the first time I saw her. I feel bad for not asking her name. Stop and Shop shold be proud to have such employee. đź‘Ź

A greedy company that used to embody freshness and customer service, only to abandon that core mission statement to attempt to be a higher priced Walmart. Way to destroy a great business model, not a surprise that you're closing stores. More closings to come, more jobs lost, but don't worry, the executives will get their buy outs and bonuses.

I have resorted to having to closely inspect every part of a product before I buy it. Once I got home and didn't realize the loaf of bread I bought was slashed on the bottom, probably from a box cutter when they stocked the shelves. I've opened containers and seals have been broken on cream cheese, onion dip, ice cream, chicken salad, cookies. A box of macaroni and cheese was open once and the cashier caught it before I paid. I've always opened egg cartons and checked before purchasing but lately sometimes I'm sitting there opening like 6 to 8 cartons before I find one with all unbroken eggs. I don't know if it's just a coincidence that this keeps happening to me or if they're just not being very careful when they stock the shelves, but it seems like it happens all of the time now.
