I waited 8 mins for a hostess, was seated for a birthday dinner. Waitress looked at her table, set a water pitcher next to our table and did not greet us. We waited eleven minutes for our waitress to greet us. The wine menu was pretty good. They had extensive cocktails menu. The majority of the menu is seafood, with two steaks and one chicken dinner option. The food was flavorless, sub par and the sides were nothing to write home about. The new york strip was completely unseasoned and flavorless. The chicken dish was also flavorless. The view was spectacular, unless it 's cloudy or raining. I did receive a lovely bread.Velvet birthday cake dessert. Our particular waitress was unattentive and provided mediocre service. For the cost of the dinner, which was well over $200 without any appetizers for one child and 2 adults, and one drink per person, I would not recommend. Management should properly train their staff to be attentive to their customers. Customers service and hospitality was lacking. The atmosphere was nice and cleanly, the uniforms did fit the restaurant's style. I had better food in service at the woods in lake Lake Tahoe.

Go to Happy Hour which is from 4 to 6p but GO E A R L Y! Consider yourself warned. We got there at 3:30 and were 2nd in line on a Monday late in March. When they opened there were 30+ people in line if that helps you. The drinks were great but the Apps were excellent. 2 of us started with 3 apps, as recommended by our excellent waitress Leslie (Attentive, knowledgeable). W old highly recommend the Coconut Shrimp, Prime Rib Sliders and Truffle Fries. We also got the Fish Tacos. Drinks and Apps for us was a laughable $62. We tipped generously. Table 27 has THE best view. At a different time of year you’ll be able to be there during sunset and you will have an amazing screensaver for your phone. So so great. Probably the best restaurant during our week here in the Lake Tahoe area

We've been here a few times. The food and service are always good. This time, 3 of us had the prix fixe and one didn't. We started with lobster bisque, clam chowder and a Caesar salad. The bisque was good. However, they put some alcohol in it, I think brandy, and the flavor in mine was too strong. I suspect the batch wasn't stirred well enough. My husband's was more balanced. The salad was in a parmesan bowl and was presented beautifully. Underneath was an anchor chili paste that was tasty. For entrees, two of us had shrimp linguine, one had salmon with crab, and one had prime rib. The shrimp was nicely grilled and the pasta had a pesto in it. My husband enjoyed the salmon. The prime rib initially looked raw, so it was sent back. It was supposed to be medium rare. What they returned with was grey on top, but was cooked. We also had a side of Asian green beans. They were tasty. For dessert, we all had the chocolate lava cake which was delicious.

We were fortunate to have dinner at the Chart House with all of our guests after our small outdoor winter wedding at Zephyr Cove. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service couldn't be better. I am still thinking of the lobster & sea bass risotto. Booking with them was an absolute pleasure-- Jack, the events coordinator, was communicative, responsive, and helpful. Other competitive restaurants in Tahoe required costly room rentals for our party of 11, totaling at least $1,000 in rent NOT including food or drinks, but we were given the option of private or semi-private room at no additional cost, as well as options for the regular restaurant menu or their events menu. The atmosphere at Chart House is unbeatable, as anyone who has been there can attest. I am so thankful that Chart House made our special day absolutely perfect, and I highly recommend them for regular fine dining, in addition to special events. Thank you, Jack, and Chart House!
