i came in today for a pick up order. upon coming in, there was one man behind the bar and his name was Ryan. i told him the name for my pickup order and he immediately told me they were working on it but it wasn’t ready. i went to sit down and waited for 20 minutes. i didnt ask about the order beforehand because i noticed Ryan was the only worker that i had seen in there tending to what I am assuming were his regulars. i figured he had to be busy and i was fine waiting. although, he comes out to tell me that the cook didnt get it for whatever reason and it was not on the grill at any point, which is so ironic because i was told it was cooking upon coming in? i waited twenty five minutes for them to get it out. i am a young female and definitely not a regular. i felt uncomfortable, and utterly and completely irrelevant and almost embarrassed to be there because i felt so unwanted. i work in service and am beyond understanding, but i feel like the dynamic at play was that i was a young girl, and not a regular and therefore unimportant, which is why he couldn’t step back for a second to check on the order from the beginning. i was also watching other customers (only seemed to be regulars because he was having thoughtful conversations with them but couldnt bother to communicate a couple words with me) receive their food before i received mine. i don’t know if this is true but it got to a point where it felt like he was delaying serving the food for whatever reason. it’s so crazy seeing the reviews talking about how the service was fantastic here when i genuinely dont think i’ve been treated worse. im so glad regulars are happy, but how many people who are not are facing this service. i don’t expect really anything, but apologizing more than once would have definitely been sufficient. a mistake like that i could understand, but this was not that, this was me being treated with no respect. i was in a position where i felt uncomfortable from the beginning. i’ve never written a review, but this was crazy.
