We came into get a few grocery items at around 11:00pm. I asked the girl that was working in the checkout area to help us ring up 3 items from the discount rack. I'm sorry I didn't get her name but she had dirty blonde dreadlocks and a terrible attitude. She immediately complained about having to do her job and was "tired of doing discounts all day long". She reeked of alcohol and was slurring her words. She then proceeded to complain that my husband reeked of cigarettes and covered her face, then walked away from our transaction. She was so intoxicated and unprofessional. I decided to call the manager of the store this morning. I was put on hold for over ten minutes and was disconnected. We will not shop at Safeway again. I don't think being intoxicated on alcohol and having a terrible attitude while at work is acceptable behavior.
