I walked in at 7:03 this morning 1/7/2026. I had a gator face mask on with my beanie, and paint clothes on,....as the air was freaking cold. As I was getting apple pastries, and some bananas. I could see the lady from the front, moving around 3 times atleast keeping me in eye sight as I was shopping. It was obvious, and pretty annoying. Maybe she treats all trades men like this, and profiles. But I surely didn't appreciate it. It was a floppy looking woman with redish dyed hair, Latina I think, all in black. I will never go to that chain of grocery store again no matter what state Im in.

The deli is amazing! I thought I ordered 2 sandwich trays for a birthday party. On the day of, I realized I didn’t have an order confirmation. When I got to the deli, they weren’t aware of the order. They ended up making the sandwich trays for us in a quick turnaround and I so so appreciate them making our day. Not sure what we would have eaten for 60 people without the sandwiches. Thank you!!

Ridiculously high prices. Bought a 24-pack of AA Energizer Max batteries. Safeway charged $29.99 ($1.25 per battery) whereas Home Depot next door sells the same AA Energizer Max batteries for $21.97 for a 24-pack or $15.87 for a 36-pack ($0.44 per battery). How can Safeway justify a 184% premium? Makes me wonder about the prices on the rest of their goods. Probably a store to be avoided in the future. Feeling very ripped off.

Asks an Employee who seemed to be not busy as she was talking to other employees while they were working and laughing. I asked where something was and she pointed in a general direction. When I couldn’t find that item I went back to her to ask if she could show me. (Item wasn’t even where she had pointed, complete other side of the store) she said it wasn’t her dept very irritated. I replied it is your job to help customers at any employment level. She got very mad and got another employee. This is Thanksgiving holiday. Was she even Thankful that she had a job?
