  ​Review for Tropical Smoothie Cafe (Southern Highlands Pkwy) ​Rating: ⭐ / 5 ​As someone with a background in food service, I am incredibly disappointed by the experience my family and I had at this location. While Tropical Smoothie often uses the "Tropical Time" branding to excuse a slower pace, what we experienced was not a relaxed vibe—it was total operational failure and a lack of basic professional standards. ​The primary issues that need to be addressed by management: ​Extreme Wait Times: We waited over 40 minutes for a standard order (three smoothies, two wraps, and a quesadilla). Several other parties who had been there before we arrived ended up abandoning their orders entirely after waiting nearly an hour for "quick service" food. ​Inadequate Training: The two staff members on duty were clearly overwhelmed and lacked the training to multitask between the drive-thru and the front counter. Most concerningly, the cashier stated they were incapable of issuing refunds, leaving customers with no recourse when they chose to leave due to the wait. ​Supply Chain & Professional Conduct: The location had no forks or knives. We were told management simply failed to order them, and staff were instructing customers to go to a neighboring business to take their utensils. This is unprofessional and places an unfair burden on local partners. ​Inconsistent Food Quality: When the food finally arrived, it did not meet brand standards. The wraps were overcooked and hard, with inconsistent ingredient portions compared to every other location I have visited. ​It is clear this is a franchise-level issue. Management is failing their staff by leaving them under-equipped and under-trained, which in turn creates a disrespectful experience for the customers. I hope the owner takes this feedback seriously and invests the necessary energy into training and basic inventory management. Until then, I would recommend avoiding this location if you value your time or expect basic service standards. ​A few tips for escalating this: ​The Refund Issue: Since they claimed they couldn't refund you, if you didn't receive your food or if it was inedible, you may want to reach out to Tropical Smoothie’s corporate guest relations. An inability to process a refund is a major red flag for a franchise. ​Health District: While a lack of forks isn't a health violation, sending customers to a different business to "take" supplies is a poor look for the Southern Nevada Health District’s view on "approved sources" for food contact items.

  1.5 hours in your drive thru !! For 1 car 1 car there was a line or 10 of us behind trying to get out. Ask them to park in front so folks can get out. It’s hot, gas prices are high and people have children in their car. And then you don’t even apologize you hide. What is wrong with your staffing. Close this location

  Waited forever in drive thru over 40 min. Had to go to the front to get our food because no one was coming to the window. Received our food cold, and smoothies melted.

  This was My Favorite Location until today. The young lady with the Long Blonde Ponytail was Nasty and Rude. I asked for a fresh Banana 🍌 ,She decided to not give me a Fresh Banana then when I Asked A Second Time. Her Attitude Change 🙄. I had to Wait until they Fixed Two Other Customer's Smoothies that Came in After Me and No Labeling on the Smoothies and No Carry Container. This is the Worst Customer Service I have Experienced in Year's. I Ordered Two Different Smoothies, Bahama Mama and Dragon Fruit. Totally Unhappy and I will not Return Again. This was not the Regular Team of Staff. DIFFERENT STAFF AND VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.
